This gambrel is everything it is advertised to be as it is very well made with heavy duty materuals and solid welds. The pulley and ropes work well also even though I dont fully trust the rope brake for holding much weight so I tie it off when I have a deer hanging from it. The 6:1 pull ratio is fantastic which makes lifting super easy. Looks great and works great, you wont be dissappointed.

As a hunter, this is everything that you need, IT'S not lightweight, so that heavy Buck isn't enough to overload this! The rope is very long! The framework is top quality steal with enamel paint and it works smoothly!I use this too lift a framework for my Lawnmower during non hunting season, my zero turn mower has a framework with a mower cloth cover that I lift up and down with one arm yet the framework is not light, this worked out great for both my needs! So eve if you're not a hunter, but wanted to lift something that i heavier than you want to lift often, this at $25 is unbelievable good deal! Get yours today!

This is targeted for hunters but my use is a bit different. The 40" tire on a dual deadlock wheel is too heavy for me to lift up and mount on the tire carrier of my Jeep by myself. I could do it with the 37" tires but not the 40". Usually there is somebody around that could help but not always. My solution is to rig a hook (out of 1/2" cold rolled rod) that extends a couple feet above the mounted tire. Hook the lift onto it and with a rope through the tire hoist up up to the proper height and slide it onto the studs. It works very well for this.I must say I am impressed with the unit. The rope is not that super slippery poly stuff but feels very good in the hand. I was a little concerned about the lock until I understood how it worked. At first I thought the arm acted upon a catch mechanism in one of the wheels; but I was wrong. The rope actually catches on the internal wedge of the lock levers loop itself and is quite effective and very simple. When pulling a load up and then moving to the lock position you only loose about 1/2" of height. The quality of the metal and clips seems very good.For hunters who intend on using it for game the gambrel seems to be stout and is welded nicely.

I was able to easily left 200+ pounds with it with little effort. It did the job quite well.The locking mechanism works okay.. It's just a slot where the rope can get wedged to keep it from moving. I would not trust it for more than a few seconds.The rope it comes with is plenty strong, but it has a fair amout of stretch to it, which isn't very good. I will probably end up replacing the rope with a better static line.

excellent value, nice cloth like rope. it should last me a lifetime of hanging and skinning deer sized game. I bought 2 so I can hang multiple animals and have 2 skinners work at their own pace.

It's good quality. Strong thick steel. Very good welds. Way better than I expected. The rope is thick and strong. If you want a good product this one is one. You will be glad you did. Nothing is better than getting something good for your money. Happy with my purchase.

GREAT LIFT SYSTEM! SUPER STRONG! VERY WELL MADE!Everything about this block and tackly pully system is superb and heavy duty. The two 3-inch triple-pully sets are made of heavy-duty steel throughout. And for each pully set, the flat 6" integral pully hanger attachment is likewise heavy-duty steel. That piece extends 1 3/4" beyound each end of the pully set, bringing the entire length of each pully set to 6 1/2" inches. The three pins in each pully set are permanently affixed and should never need to be removed, since each of the three 1 1/2"pullies per set are also steel and should never wear or break. That means that there are no threaded bolts and nuts to accidently loosen, or to snag the rope at any time. In addition, each of the two three-inch carabiners (one per pully set, intended for attachment to the outside end of each pully set) is also heavy-duty steel, far beyond the strength of any aluminum carabiner I have ever seen. Finally, the 3-braid yellow nylon rope, advertized as being 55' long, measures about 1/2" in diameter, as does the heavy-duty gambrel, and both appear to be quite strong. After a lot of searching over weeks, I bought this block & pully rig - the SUPER MAG 6:1 RATIO LIFT SYSTEM - through Amazon for $45, and what a bargain it is! I'll use it for solo elk hunting out West, to hang the meat quarters and caped head and antlers, to ensure their temporary safety from most critters.

Easy to use , compact, looks easy enough to take anywhere but I had put it up in my garage 👌

Well made heavy duty gambrel, works well, would recommend using gloves when lifting carcasses as rope is very thin and can burn your hands if your not careful. But I have recommended this product twice as good value for money.
