Happy with the Viper Metropolitan Cabinet to hold my Winmau Blade 4 board.
I'm fairly happy with my purchase of the Viper Metropolitan Cabinet. I had reviewed a lot of different options on Amazon and elsewhere and in the end I had it narrowed down to the Viper Hudson or Metropolitan since they appeared to provide good value for the money. Are their better cabinets out there? Certainly, but they also cost a lot more. For under $75 I think this cabinet is a good deal. Some notes:1) The build quality of the cabinet met my expectations. There were a couple minor but noticeable scratches on the front of the cabinet but not enough to cause me to want to return it. The hinges were actually better than I expected.2) regarding the doors not closing that some of the other reviewers noted, I haven't seen that. I placed a Winmau Blade 4 board inside and it still closes fine for me. I like the fact that this cabinet had a pre-installed bracket in the center for mounting a bristle dart board3) I like the extra space provided at the bottom of the cabinet for storage. In fact this was why I chose the Metropolitan vs the Hudson. Just be sure that you take into account the larger size of this cabinet so that you reserve enough wall space.4) The dry erase boards were better than expected but the marker provided was weak (luckily that's an easy fix)5) Mounting was no trouble. I used the provided hollow wall anchor set and it holds well. Also the pre-drilled holes in the cabinet made this really easy. As an FYI, the paper template provided was largely useless and didn't line up inside the cabinet as it should have but this was easy to resolve by placing the template on the back and aligning it with the holes there - which made more sense anyway.6) I had considered just getting a dart backboard vs a cabinet but after mounting this I'm glad I chose the cabinet - even my wife said it looks nice.7) I got the Cinnamon color and am happy with it.Overall, I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dart board cabinet for under $100.

Not bad, but lots of imperfections
Spent more to get an all wood cabinet cause it's going in my living room rather than a dedicated game room. So I wanted presentable furniture, which might have been an unrealistic expectation. Still not really close to what I wanted. There's a crack in the top of one of the front doors that's been badly repaired so that part of it has plastic wood filler and half is open, and probably in repairing it they left a scratch. On that same panel, several knotholes have been filled with that same plastic wood filler that doesn't take stain well so there are several weird knotholes that are dark rings filled with way lighter filler. Clearly, that's not material for a front door panel. On the more practical side, the template they included to "help" you hang the cabinet is just about useless. It is the width of the cabinet and does accurately mark the board hanging bracket--but from the bottom of the opening for the board, not from the bottom of the whole cabinet. You can't use it by itself to locate the height of the cabinet on the wall, and the holes marked on the template do not come close to the holes in the cabinet. I built my own template by cutting out a piece of thin cardboard, carefully measuring and placing the template on it to mark the board height, and marking the holes for the cabinet by placing the board on my template and marking with a pencil. So how useful was the template?

Great value. Real wood. Color a bit off
Great value. Real wood. Color a bit off (I ordered cinnamon) Tough to find ALL real wood cabinets these days. The back is still particleboard but it holds the dartboard well and the felt backing is a nice touch. The only thing I would follow in the instructions is how high to mark the line. Everything is off. Use your high school basic math, brain and give it a good mount job. Tip: the cabinet and backing stiffens up when the board is finally attached. I spent extra time adding screws...not necessary.Simple and classy. Those words do not describe myself but the cabinet, it looks great and I’m picky. It smells good too.Minus a star because I got a pine color instead of darker. The box was sealed and marked correctly, I just think somebody was hung over that day.

Nice Cabinet
I wanted to give it a great review, but the door isn’t aligned and the left door is warped. Had to make some hinge adjustments to make it square and close properly. Other than that it’s a decent looking Dartboard cabinet.

Great Cabinet- Terrible Surprise
If you are thinking of giving this as gift and as a surprise, then don't bother ordering it, I was devastated to walk in the house and see the big picture of the cabinet and dartboard on the box with the gift receipt on the front. Yes, my boyfriend had already carried it in the house, so much for wrapping presents and putting them under the tree. I guess a solution would be to opt for the gift wrapping, but seriously, who doesn't think twice about attaching a gift receipt on top of the big picture of the contents? On the plus side the cabinet is beautiful, it is very solid but not heavy. It smells like heavenly cedar when you open the cabinet doors and it matches our game room perfectly. I like the simplicity and clean lines of this cabinet so it doesn't feel like another cheesy toy thrown in the corner of the room. The grain of the wood in the picture does not show nearly as well as the wood itself, great texture and great finish. So all in all I would highly recommend the product, just not the shipping department.

Good cabinet for dartboard
Easy to install. Liked that there were a variety of options for color. Hides the dartboard when not in use. Definitely recommend. Area I installed it in was a bit dark so I purchased the light separated.

Dart board not included
I was a little disappointed when a opened the box to find that the dart board was not included. The photo of the dartboard cabinet clearly shows a dart board and no where does it indicate that the dart board is not included. Other dart board cabinets, that are strictly a dart board cabinet, do not show a dart board in their photos. In my opinion, it's a little bit misleading.

SOMEWHAT HAPPY
The construction of the cabinet is sub par, the doors don't meet so there is a visible space.Mounting Instructions weren't very clear, I actually damaged my cabinet by drilling holes I didn't need to drill.Color suits my room.

Nice cabinet, but be warned
The finish quality of the cabinet is fair, but the cabinet doors do not close all the way with my Winmau Blade 4 - the solution for me was to remove the screwed in whiteboard inlays (and then re-screw the whiteboard screws to cover the holes).
