My wife and I are recent converts to the Moscow Mule drink (it has displaced all other mixed drinks for us as the preferred choice when available) and were looking for some mugs to use to make them at home. We heard about these particular mugs as being good from a friend who is a bit of a MM connoisseur. We have initially purchased 2 of them to check them out, and they have definitely lived up to their billing. They are solidly made and not cheap like some of the ones I have seen or been served with in various hotel bars, etc. They are also stylish and have that hammered look we dig in these kinds of mugs. Would highly recommend these to others, and we are planning on picking up a couple more soon to be able to share with friends when they come over.

Very nice cup, but I was misled by the caption of the item. It said "set" but I only received one cup. Not worth $20 for only 1.

This is exactly what I was looking for - I wanted a solid copper mug rather than the more common copper-plated steel mugs I found in stores in my area, but I wanted one that was lined (FDA rules prohibit unlined copper mugs when the contents are below pH 6 - not that I'm going to use it for so many Mules I'll have to worry, but anyone who has read about why a Moscow Mule comes in a copper mug will know that the copper is just for show anyway). This was the right combination of lined solid copper, hammered exterior and a good size. Also durable and well-made - highly recommended.

This really is the perfect Moscow Mule mug! My drink stays extremely cold for a long time and the curled rim allows for smooth sipping. One smart feature is that the inside is lined with nickel... This means almost no copper dissolves into the alcohol of my drink. Look up "copper poisoning" and you'll easily discover why too much of this metal inside you is not good. OK enough of this review... I'm off to make myself a Moscow Mule! Or maybe today I'll go for a Kentucky Mule?? Cheers!

Great mugs for Moscow Mule. Nickel lining will prevent tarnishing from acid. It is a better to have the nickel lining as opposed to the pure copper inside and out. Some "purists" claim that the copper lined mugs are preferable because they react with the acidity of the lime and give the proper taste. You do not want chemical reactions taking place in your mug. You do not want to consume copper. Pure copper had been used originally only because that's what was available. The pure copper mugs typically have complaints about black tarnish occurring inside the mugs. That's not the manufacturer's fault. It's chemistry! I doubt that most people can taste the slightest difference between a Moscow Mule in a pure copper mug vs. one in a nickel lined copper mug.

When they say "perfect" in the title, they aren't kidding. This mug is gorgeous, with a beautiful nickel lining and a dappled, hammered-copper outside with a very comfortable handle. A big mouth and deep bowl for a generous pour and easy drinking access, even with lots of ice.We've used them several times for various cocktails, and they work a treat. The wide mouth also makes hand-washing easy for someone like me with big, clumsy hands.
