We have this in our kitchen instead of the garden, and it lights up beautifully when the room goes dark. The design is lovely, you can tell this was made with care. A few fibers come out of the faux grass roof in the box, but don't let that dishearten you, it doesn't shed at all after that. It is indeed waterproof, which is good with it being on the windowsill above the sink, but even more so if you plan to put it outside. I cannot recommend this enough.

I have waited a while before reviewing this item although it’s a lovely fairy house it doesn’t give eight hours of light on a good day of sunshine you will only get four hours of light. I’ve kept it because my daughter loved it
