August 25th 1991 at 3.55am saw the inevitable end to Lee Duffy's life. Everyone knew Lee's existence on this planet would be brief, including Lee and his Mother but the news Teesside was waking up to that gloriously sunny morning would rock it to it's foundations. Lee has been gone now more years than he was alive although he is still spoken of as if he was here yesterday. Lee Duffy was arguably Teessides most prolific criminal but where did his violent side stem from? Was he a figure of evil or misunderstood? For the first time on camera see the streets that Lee walked and hear from those who knew him well!

Dreadfully disappointing
I have read the book about Duffy and had hoped that this documentary would contain some different tales about Lee Duffy .Sadly it didn’t .It was just a repeat of what is said in the book .Also, the documentary has a real amateurish feel about it . There are problems with the sound in places where voices are inaudible and or loud music is played over people speaking. In several , places for some unknown reason , there is a jet black smudgy frame around the whole picture. Why ?If you are hoping for real insight into the life and crimes of Mr Lee Duffy then this is not for you to be honest. What you will get is a few old rogues describing how well Lee could knock people out .One notable omission in the documentary is any appearance or input by Brian Cockerill . That really surprised me . I thought he and Lee were close friends and a brutal fighting force on Teesside?

Sycophantic hero worship of a bully.
This was not a good watch. The documentary maker and all the interviewees all but admitted that Lee Duffy was a horrible bully who hit whoever he liked for any reason he liked. Their excuse for his behaviour? 'He was young'. Pathetic. It's never a good thing when someone dies, but it is clear that Lee Duffy had it coming. Bullies nearly always get their comeuppance eventually, something which doesn't seem totally lost on some of the people interviewed in this documentary.

Regurgitated news.
Just read the book, nothing new here, disappointing. Few of the 'names' from Boro who knew Lee Duffy not even on there. If it was £3 and you had an hour and a bit to kill be ok I guess. Save your money and read 5 minutes online.

Same as the books
I watched this as I have read the books. The documentary is good as you see some of the people the books refer to. The sound is dodgy in places unless it was my TV? If you have read the books then the documentary is the same content. It would have been good to hear from more people instead of the same ones as the book. Understandably some may not wish to give interviews however there are two sides to a story.

cracker..!!!
This is a very good addition to the two books about lee duffy the boro hardcase..To some people he was a terrible bully to others he was good fella.? But one thing is certain is that he was beaten up and bullied most of his childhood which played a big part in what he became as a young adult. A very enjoyable video about the Middlesbrough legend The Duffer

Must watch for any true crime fan
Amazing watch. Recommend to anyone who enjoys true crime. Please dont think this is just a rehash of all the stories you have heard about Lee Duffy because it's not!!!!!!Jamie Boyle actually speaks to real Boro and newcastle faces who new the Duffer and takes you round all the places and scenes of events that went on from his old street, the pubs and clubs he loved, right upto the scene of that tragic night.Loved it

Good structure but needs improvment
Dislike:To little detailNo Duffy actor or role-plays for the scenario.Could not hear presenter at times during interviews. Not enough people interviewed. Not enough showcasing of events or locations.Likes:Good concept.Good interactionGood use of locationsThis is not finished work, needs additional improvements.
