Great kit. Pieces fit precisely, lots of detail and great decals, too bad there were no pilot figures, would have been cool.

Nice and easy

Hasegawa makes some of the best kits around, and this is no exception. If you want to spend your time actually building and painting instead of dealing with continual problems from a sub-par kit (not that there's anything wrong with that), Hasegawa pays off almost every time. This is newer Hawegawa, and so fit and kit engineering are excellent. As an interesting side note, the cockpit and spare canopy from this kit (there are two) can be used to complete the older 1/48 Nichimo E13A "Jake" Japanese Navy recon float planes. The Nichimo E13 kit is the only one in existence, but has no real cockpit and very toylike clear parts. Some modification is required to get a fit, but this is still a better and easier option than the cottage industry resin option.

At least it has a friend named Val to hang out with.

Why no torpedo,the 1/72 scale b5n2 has a torpedo. I really wanted a torpedo. A torpedo would really make the model.

Very nice kit, well engineered and the fit was excellent.

Great fit up! Good decals. Would like to have had more bomb, torpedo options.
