I purchased two versions of this rug - one 5x8 and one 8x10. Both rugs are beautiful and look great in our large family room. We ordered the smaller rug initially to make sure we liked the colors as well as the tassels. Based on the reviews, I had planned to remove the tassels (as this seems to be done fairly easily), but I will admit they are starting to grow on me. I have used my vacuum with the roller on directly over the wool pile without any issues, but I have turned the roller off to go over the tassels as these would get caught. Both rugs arrived much more quickly than the shipping estimate I was given - i.e. the 8x10 arrived today (Friday 11/11)) and it wasn't supposed to get here until Tuesday (11/15).One complaint (and thus why I couldn't give 5 stars) is that upon unpacking the 8x10, there was a distinct new carpet smell... That weird, synthetic smell -- which I was NOT expecting as the 5x8 did not have that smell at all. We ordered another Savafieh rug on Amazon which was also wool and it did not have the smell either. It is slightly burning my nose which makes me worried that it is not truly 100% wool. Disappointing as the same rug in a smaller size did not have this issue. I am hoping the smell will dissipate quickly so we can enjoy the room again without worry (so far, windows open with a fan on for the last ~1hr has helped some already). I will admit that I am also very sensitive to smells, so it could just be me.Overall, I am loving the look of these rugs. They have really helped to tie the room together. The rust color is on the orange side which really adds warmth to our light wood floors. The gray is very understated, but blends well with all the other colors. The larger rug also has some reddish-maroon in it, which I love. Interestingly, I tried to find this same red color in the smaller rug and don't seem to see it. Regardless, the two sizes still work beautifully together (on opposite sides of the room) and coordinate really well with our neutral gray couches and beige recliner/drapes.I would definitely recommend these rugs, but will update along the way if I have any issues with durability.

This wool rug is really nice! Why,?1- arrived packaged well2- rolled out and flatten out easily3- a little new-rug smell but was gone very quickly4- thick and high quality5- colors true to picturesI put it on a rug pad for extra cush and longevity.Recommend doing that for all rugs.

Overall I really like this rug! I’m a little sad that there are already some snags showing up on the rug even though it’s not been walked on and only vacuumed. Overall I’m happy with it, just not sure how it’ll hold up over time.

I purchased this rug for my sunroom. I purchased a larger Jute rug to sit beneath it (like a frame) and this SAFAVIEH Aspen rug sits on top. The color is spot on and very true to the photos. This is well made and dense but not overly heavy. The heavy braided fringe is reminiscent of Moroccan rugs - the deeper blue is a dark teal and the ‘white’ is a bright ivory. The lighter ‘blue’ is sort of a blue gray and my shiplap is a tinted sea blue and the lighter gray blue pulls more blue in this room - perfect. I think if your walls are gray it will pull more gray. Anyway - a complete bargain and I love the rug and trust me, I am VERY picky when it comes to decor!

Colors are great. so is the design!

I bought this rug in three sizes. The 7 x 7 and 2x3 rugs are thicker and the colors are brighter. This makes me wonder if the 3x5 rug was a sample that hung up on display or something. It is in good condition and I have it by a door with foot traffic. But I’m not certain I received a new rug.

Arrived exactly as expected. Love the colors: gray, blue, brown, tan, rust. Goes with everything. The actual dimensions are 8’7” by 12’, this does NOT include the fringe. The fringe on each end is 6” so this adds another 12” to give a total of 13’. Some reviews mention an odor, i did not notice any smell. It does shed a bit, but that is to be expected and is not bad after the first week.
