This product is a trick! Don't let the cheap packaging fool you. Excellent for classroom use and affordable for any teacher to purchase. Long spring needs warning when working with students. Energy travels rapidly and if students are not hold end correctly,energy will startle them. "Slinky" style spring was absolutely gorgeous and larger/longer than I expected. Students were fascinated and could have studied wave energy all day. Great gift set for a Science Dept.

Used for waves lesson, 4th grade. Spring and slinky got a little stretched, but items worked well for the activity.

Can be used for lots of fun demonstrations: transverse and longitudinal waves (and their superposition), standing waves, reflections and free/fixed boundaries, wave speed and tension, etc.

Great set. High quality springs. The slinky style spring is better than the actual Slinky I bought.

Great for the price

First off, the box was much bigger than expected but we soon found out why. We opened the box and found that the longer, skinnier spring was completely stretched out and hopelessly tangled up with two tangled and stretched out Slinky type springs and two lengths of rope. It was ridiculous. There was another Slinky type spring that was packaged and undamaged. Then there was second longer skinnier spring that was mostly okay but part of it was stretched out and damaged as well. In the end, we got two pieces of rope and one Slinky type spring that was undamaged. We will be returning the entire package and getting our money back. Why would a seller send a box full of garbage and think they would get away with it? Truly unbelievably bad service.

This is an awesome set. My class loved it. We didn’t use the rope much, but the generous sized slinky and the rope spring were really handy. It was so great to be able to pull it out and have a play with it, as well as working through our exercises. The booklet had a helpful write up in it too, if you were having trouble remembering the theory.
