Works well, but be careful not to scratch your pots
These work pretty well, considering it's a short cut of pulling out the blender. It still leaves things a bit chunky but overall does its job. I wish the bottom was silicone coated so we didn't scratch our pots. The blade can't hit, but the bottom of the cylinder shroud that covers the blade has sharp edges. If they were buffed/rounded, or silicone coated it would be a better design. In a soup or puree you can see the bottom until you hit it.

I did not realize there would be a suction effect. Other than that it is so much easier to clean than a blender. Make the soup right in the cooking pot. The wisk attachment is practical as well. Keep the blender for smoothies.
