This Kate 5x7 solid white backdrop is a solid choice for photography, especially if you need a clean and simple background. The white color comes out bright and even on camera, which makes it great for portraits, product photos, or content creation. The material feels decent for the price and isn’t too thin. It does come folded, so there are some creases at first, but they’re pretty easy to remove with a steamer or by letting it hang for a bit. Size-wise, 5x7 works well for headshots or smaller setups, but it might feel a little limited if you’re trying to do full body shots unless you have space to step back.

I use Kate backdrops for many photo shoots. They are consistently well made, and travel will without holding wrinkles. The fact that somehow Amazon sells some of them for a lower price than Kate is a bonus.

Good stuff

The first photo seems to suggest the frame to hold the fabric were included. So I did not attempt to find any to include with the fabric. My bad but very disappointing.

The backdrop came out a really nice color.

This backdrop worked really well for headshots I took for a client. I steamed it twice until I was satisfied with not having any visible wrinkles. It has almost like a velvety finish on the front, in white you can't really see the texture of the fabric but when I purchased the green one from the listing I did NOT like how you could see steam marks and it looked shiny and different tones because of the velvet like texture. So I returned the green one and did the Neewer brand green backdrop but for the white backdrop this one worked great. Aside from steaming it I also used some elastic clips that velcro around the backdrop stand that way it stretched it out and made it look very smooth. I used 2 strobe lights on the sides, 1 ring light in front and a continuous light behind the backdrop for illumination. In the photos the one of my client is after editing and the one of my dog is straight out of camera, no editing (you can tell at the bottom of the backdrop I didn't steam it all the way to the floor so the wrinkles were noticible at the bottom of the backdrop)

I finally have the chance to use this tomorrow, so I took it out to practice setting it up, and to practice taking pictures with a backdrop. There are several places on the fabric that are a bit soiled, like dust or dirt got in as it was being folded. The dirty marks are all in places where the front of the fabric touched, and mirror impressions. Also, there are no washing/care instructions, so I'm not sure what the best way to wash it is. It is a rather nice backdrop otherwise, with a casing sewn into one end. This does make it very easy to hang on the frame. Eventually, I'll probably add a casing along the long edge so I can use it in either configuration.

It's look ok. Not what I am looking for. I was looking for a black background for avoid glaring while filming. It's shiny and lighten. light can easily pass through

Does what I need it to do. At a great price.

Took a long time to come. Then took what seemed forever to get the creases out. At least 3 tumble dry sessions with a wet rag. Ironed, Hung then steamed🙈 can still see a faint indent now. Not bad colour although you need a brush to flatten the velvet pile in one direction or you can see finger and handling marks. I guess one could use that to an advantage to make abstract shapes to add a kind of hand painted look? There’s no substitute for paper I’m afraid!
