Kids loved these water globes. They begged to do the extra ones we had leftover.

This is a great toy! My 10 year old really enjoyed making all 3 globes. I made sure she spread clay all the way to the edges evenly, and i was the one closing the globes. No leakage from any of them. She also used small sea shells and rocks we had at home. Glitter absolutely sticks to clay so i added some coarser glitter we had to the globes after we added water and that worked out very well. Great set overall.I agree with everyone else: there isn't enough clay included in this set. It wasn't a problem for us because my daughter went heavier on sea shells and rocks but they really should have included another stick of clay. I am not taking a star off for that because it is such a unique set. Also ours was shipped in the original box for some reason. I found it on my door step it this nice yellow/blue box, which was all dirty with 3 shipping stickers attached to it. I expressed my unhappiness to amazon, hopefully they'll stop this nonsense, but something to keep in mind if you are ordering a present.

I'd give it 5 stars if it worked better for the reason people want water globes - to shake it and see the snow/glitter swirl around. I'm amazed at how well and easily the clay sticks, and it hasn't leaked at all. But the glitter sticks to the clay in the amount of time it takes the glue to seal in order to add water. I recommend putting the glitter on the globe part and not the bottom clay and holding it upside down while the glue dries. And even then, maybe adding a different material for the "snow." But it is fun to make and holds up really well, just not as much fun to shake as a typical water globe.

I thought this would be too hard for my 7 & 9 year old granddaughters to do but it was not that bad. They really had fun doing it. My only complaint was there wasn't enough clay to do a good job on all 3 globes. They sealed nicely and would recommend.

We do like it but the scarcity and size of components feels cheap from the producers. We added stuff from toy collection - which is ok.Also we added some food into the water before feeling - looks cool!

I purchased this for a craft session with my grandchildren ages 3, 8, and 11. The 8 year old is a girl. The kit comes with everything you need except the water. The size of the snow globes is just right. The clay was perfect for adding details to the scenes. All of the children stayed focused and created elaborate scenes. The oldest child made a volcano and plants for the sea horse. The 3 year old made colorful rocks out of the clay for the octopus. My granddaughter made a scene for the mermaid.There was virtually no mess. I was so pleased that they even provided a small funnel to help with adding water. I did this with the children over the kitchen sink using bottled water. I did find that the sparkles (snow) had a tendency to stick to the clay if sprinkled over it before adding water as per the directions. I found that pouring some water into the clear section, adding the sparkles, then putting it together allowed the “snow” to fall better. Then once assemble we filled it up the rest of the way.

Instructions were surpringly clear and easy to read. The figurines weren't included, but I'm less annoyed as I got this on a sale, but if the sale price was the retail one, I'd probably add a star on here. Tools look cheap, but I'm starting off crafting for the first time, and I think this served it's purpose, haven't filled water in yet, but the setup seem so cheap regardless that it's a... Potential way to craft people gifts.Note the snow globe itself just looks tiny compared to retail ones 😅

I got this for my 6-year-old niece for Christmas, and it was her favorite present. She was super excited when she finished the first one. For the adults' side of things, my sister said, "Moderate parental assistance needed for the six year old but totally worth it for the joy conferred."
