Wonderful book. A feel good about yourself book for young african american readers. Beautiful color pictures and great story line. My grandson has to read books daily for school. This was one of the books that I purchased so that he would have a variety to read and share at school. He loves looking into faces that look like his, and happily reads his books, and talks about them. Has enhanced his appreciation of books and love of reading.

The media could not be loaded.  I had this book growing up as a paperback book. I really loved it and wanted to share it with my kids some day. My parents didn't know what happened my original one so I was super excited to see it online AND HARDBACK. I'm so happy and I can't wait to share one of my favorite stories with my future kids.

Excellent story for my little one. She loves the illustrations of the beautiful children depicted in the book.

This is an excellent book for teaching children of all races, skin tones and ethnic backgrounds about the beauty in all of us. The toddlers I work with are drawn to the illustrations and ask for it to be read over and over again!

Love this book, have had my own copy since the 80"s for my children and now for my grand-kids, saw it and had to have it for a baby shower gift.

The pictures are awesome! My daughter loves the pictures as do I. However, there is not much of a story; each page has only one or two words. My family makes up a story to go along with the pictures which works for us.

Great book to give a young person to learn how beautiful their God given melanin blessed skin truly is.

This is a great book; as the mother of a young black boy I feel it's really important for him to have books in which some of the characters look like him. This book hits that brief with simple phrases and smiley faceed children at a nursery together celebrating their unique features, hair textures and skin tones.

I didn't like this book because it said something about a dimpled chin and perfect nose and I had visions of Michael Jackson getting surgery to change his nose and chin. Doesn't teach self acceptance. Also too few words and so I returned it.

I wasn't overly convinced about this book on purchase, but I have to say my 6 year old mixed race granddaughter absolutely loved it!! Reading it over and over again - exploding into fits of giggles everytime she gets to "lips for kissing" page! It's a joy to watch her reading it.

Great book for instilling self-love. My little loved it. After a few reads my 3yr was able to find in any of the sentences I would miss out purposely. He loves it.

My babygirl really enjoys this book. The illustration is great too
