Griffin Survivor GIP-043-BLK Strong Case for Apple iPhone SE (2020) / 8/7 / 6S / 6 - Black

The case is living up to the Griffin name and standards , it holds the phone well and doesn’t make the phone look bulky and you can grip it firmly without any fear of it slipping out of your hand. However my old griffin case had a front protector screen and the edges were thicker so it protected it 100% on the time if I dropped it, When I returned my phone to get my new replacement phone they couldn’t believe it was so old as it looked like new. I don’t feel quite as confident with this design but only time will tell. The case is still a good one and should protect it 95% of the time but not sure if this case would survive in a battlefield!

This is a very much slimmer version of the bulky rubber one. I treat it the same as the old, very robust Griffin Survivor, The plastic on the old one broke after many years so became somewhat unreliable. This is a slimmer version reminiscent of those gel covers but much tougher, I've dropped it a few times and it sits in my back pocket so gets sat on regularly but still survives. The case did NOT come with a screen protector so I got thin glass one (about£4-£6 for two) to protect the screen from scratching.

Never been disappointed with Griffin. Good sturdy case without the "brickiness" of their other Survivor products. A good compromise between the complete protection of an enclosure-type case and the ease of a "snap-in" case. Easy to hold and non-slippery rubber gives a good grip. Very happy with it so far and I've had it a few months now.

These Survivor cases are great. I've been using them on various phones for about 5 years and not had a scratch or cracked screen yet. My only complaint is that the plastic in the clear ones tends to discolour over time (see photo of a 6 month old case). So I end up replacing the case for aesthetic reasons every 12 months or so.

Bought to put on my new iPhone XS had one of these cases for my last phone an they do definitely protect them when dropped. Would recommend an will buy again

I’d chosen a lower spec Griffin product for my iPhone 7 earlier. It held up OK probably about three years. It was showing signs of seams splitting, hence the purchase of the Griffin ‘Survivor’ model. It’s feels more robust without making my iPhone ‘chunky’.

I never write reviews but I’ll make an exception here. When I first fitted the case I thought it a little bulky but thought it will protect the phone if dropped. A few days ago I left my phone on the roof and drive off. My phone came flying off the roof at 40 mph onto the road. When I recovered the phone the case was a little scratched up but the phone was absolutely perfect. To think I nearly bought a slimline case. Pleased I didn’t!

Solid nice fitting not too bulky protector. Very pleased. If I needed to get another protector it would be the same one, however this one is still solid nearly a year on.
