Ever since our trip to Arizona and learning about gun slingers of the Old West, our kids have been bugging us for some toy six shooters. We thought they'd forget after a few weeks, but they didn't. So we searched and searched and settled on these and they were worth every silver piece we forked over at the trading post. Our kids have very active and vivid imaginations - what the pistols lack in authenticity, our kids make up for with imagination. These silver pistols come with belt and holster and our kids have had some epic shootouts in their own wild west. They're not the die cast metal toys I grew up with, but they've lasted and have provided hours of fun. These light-weight pistolas look cool (to a kid) and easily fit in the hands of a 7- and 9-year-old. And when coupled with a cowboy hat, these cap guns will have your cowpoke looking like Billy the Kid.

Our boys have had a blast with these. Are they the highest quality? No. Do I think they will last forever? No. But they have lasted a long time with a lot of play! They are a good size for the boys, not full size, but not too small like some of the other pistols I have seen on Amazon. Haven’t tried caps, but my older boy likes drawing like Barney Fife, and with no caps he is just about as lethal.

Holsters fell apart first day.. Cap guns are fine.

My grandson enjoys playing with these toy guns including a holster and holster belt! He can pretend to be Marshall Dillon, a defender of all things good. He saves birds, turtles, and even a stranded grandmommie or two (when I have a friend over.) We have looked at a couple of local stores but most were made from plastic. These are sturdy, made to last awhile, and was happy with the costs.

Apparently, my waistline is more "sheriff" than "outlaw." But hey, fashion is all about customization, right?The quality? Well, let's just say it's more "toy store chic" than "authentic frontier gear." But for the price, it's a steal. Plus, it gives you the perfect excuse to wear a cowboy hat around the house.Final Thoughts:If you're looking to relive the glory days of the Wild West without leaving your living room, this play set is your ticket. This was the perfect gift for my 7 year old cowboy wannabe. He loves that it came with two holsters and boomsticks and a big cowboy belt buckle. They can be used with or without caps, which are sold separately. The belt doesn't feel very high quality and I'm questioning how long it will last, but for the price, it's to be expected.
