How far apart can the 1/4" plugs go? In other words, how far down the cable is the Y split?

You can easily get a 1 foot span between the connection points of the 1/4 inch jacks. Very high quality!

Can I use this cable to connect a mixer to a pc?

3.5mm Headphone or Aux out on PC to 1/4 in on the mixer should work just fine.

Can this record electronic drum sounds by connecting it's mono output ports 6.35mm to PC headphone port 3.5mm?

I've used this to go in 'both directions.' I primarily go from my mixing board ('1/4 Monos') out to my PC's Line In (1/8), but I've gone the other direction as well (PC Headphone out to Mixing Board "1/4 Monos" In).
