Rebel: Wolfes of Manhattan One

I like this author due to the fact she doesn't overload you with insignificant details, but yet when it calls for more details she certainly can produce them. She's top of my list for sure.

The Wolfes are another fine family amidst their own chaotic twists. Rebel is the first installment of 5 book series, The Wolfes of Manhattan. It is noteworthy that this is not a standalone and there is not a conclusion of the story in this book.Rebel introduces the Wolfe family to us at a critical crossroad in their life. Rebel is incredibly intriguing. A man is murdered and wreaks havoc on his family from beyond the grave. Helen Hardt created a story with so many twists and turns that you have to keep turning pages to see what happens next. The Wolfe family seems to have a lot of secrets and skeletons in their closets. Hopefully each sibling will get their own story. First up, Rock Wolfe.Rock Wolfe roared into Lacey Ward's life like a cat five hurricane. He's brash, crass, unfiltered and sexy as sin. Try as she might Lacey can't resist him. Thrust into a role he wants no part of and has no training for, Rock has no choice but to make a go of it. His brothers and sister are counting on him. Something else he didn't count on was the insane attraction for the brilliant and beautiful Lacey. There's something treacherous going on and Rock is going to get to the bottom of it with Lacey's help.

I have read many Helen Hardt books, and I have liked all of them. She sketches vivid characters and interesting scenarios. This book,however, seems to go around in circles and the characters’ internal dialogues are highly repetitive. The instalove element is really not credible. I’m going to continue the series, so I guess that means it’s good enough to invest your time in. Not a blazing endorsement.

This series is a lot like the Steels but different. I think I'm going to like it. Rock is back in his home town but his bastard of a father as died and missing with his life. Lacey is his father's lawyer and he has to have her. The only problem is everyone has secrets & why is everyone on the suspect list for the murder of Derek Wolf ?

This is the story of Rock & Lacey. It is intense and raw between them the moment they meet. Rock came back to Manhattan for the death of his father, which there is no love lost between them, for the reading of the will. His father was murdered. Lacey is an attorney and she wrote up Rock's father's will. That is where they met. There is so much that goes on in this story. No disappointment there. There is conniving to the ultimate. But by whom? Rock and his family find themselves in a terrible situation. He has two brothers and a sister. Is someone hiding something? Helen, you've done it again with a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Waiting on bated breath. I so love your work.

Helen Hardt is one of my favorite authors, so when I found out I hadn't read this series yet, I immediately bought it.We all know it's going to be some type of love story within the first 2 chapters, but the suspense that Ms. Hardt has included makes it to where you literally cannot find a stopping point. (Put it this way. I bought the book at 11pm and by 2am I was finished!)Rock and Lacey have chemistry like no other. However, due to his past, Rock doesn't think he's capable of loving. Not to mention his dead father has royally screwed him over in his mind. Without giving anything away, the joyride you will take with this one book will definitely leave you grasping at more.

I have just finished the complete series of these books and it was a rollercoaster ride from start to finishI couldn’t put it down down. I read all five books in a week. They are well worth buying, I loved them so much I went and bought the next series of books called gems of Wolfe island. Helen hardt is one of my favourite authors. It’s a must read. Thank you Helen for giving us incredible books to read.

Hot bad guy meets sexy lawyer for his father's will reading and in half an hour he's having sex with her in her office.Rock is back for the reading of his murdered fathers will which will change his life if he accepts the deal only someone is trying to frame him and the lawyer Lacey for the murder.Lots of secrets lots of sex and four more books to find the killer.Won't be paying £5.99 for each of the following books. If I realised this I wouldn't have downloaded this book.

I suppose that I would describe this book as a murder mystery with sex on the side. It was a gripping read where you wonder what is going to happen next and it did keep me reading. However I was disappointed, and slightly annoyed, by the end of the book because the story is incomplete and you don't find out who did it. This is why I have marked it down from what would have been a good read to average. It certainly isn't a standalone story.

Come on Helen Hardt you release this book, I read it within two days and now I’m expected to wait for the next one.......this was sexy, steamy, thrilling and I could not put it down. Please don’t make me wait to long!! I loved this book.

OMG....do I seriously have to wait until May for the next one? I really enjoyed Rebel. The first quarter of the book was a little rushed for me however, from then on I was gripped! Love Rock and want one for myself! Well worth a read but it does end on a cliff hanger....you've been warned!
