Rimmel Lasting Matte Full Coverage Light-weight Foundation

I buy this every summer to add to my usual foundation. This gives me the option to darken my usual foundation as and when it’s needed. On holiday with a tan or if I fake tan. This is a cheaper option than trying to colour match lots of different foundations depending on my tan.

This Foundation has a very nice consistency and finish. However it is suitable for people with very dark skin. I ordered it thinking that it would go ok with my medium tone skin but it does not as it is similar to milk chocolate colour. I cannot comment on how it would stay on as I've only tested it and it was the wrong colour for me.

I would say this is super comfortable light not heavy or cakey. I was expecting a liquid foundation but the texture is like mousse texture. I liked this matte effect foundation althought it didn't look dull. Despite building it up I'm still surprised it didn't look cakey.

However, I found the product to be extremely difficult to apply, it went patchy and settled in to my wrinkles and pores, whilst slid off the greasy nose area. Given that, it was also very difficult to remove even with oil based make up remover.I am not a great fan of heavy foundations and would love to have found something that truly was ultra lightweight whilst giving full coverage, but I did not find this did the job. The media could not be loaded. I only use this brand now as it works for my oily skin being a matte foundation. I normally get the 408 maple and 601 soft chocolate and blend them both in for my desired look.
