3x5 Size is Perfect
Starting in 2016, I made a resolution to get fit and be healthy, and, as a result, I became a walker--one of those obnoxious people with a standing desk. I get between 25,000 and 35,000 steps a day at the office, and because of that, I learned some things pretty quickly about this kind of lifestyle. Without the right shoes and environment, you can get unnecessarily tired and sore very quickly.I work in a very unique office, and because we have radiant heating and cooling, unfortunately, we're stuck with good ol' barebones concrete flooring, aka, hell on the feet. At first, I purchased a 24x36 mat thinking that would suffice for my needs, but I'm a mover and a shaker. I play music at my desk to spur me on, and I like to vary up my walking with some dancey moves, and I found myself constantly stepping off my mat, not to mention, the small mat skidded everywhere across the floor.I decided to invest in a bigger mat, and after scouring Amazon, this mat seemed the best choice for the money. Many other large mats were either crazy huge or crazy expensive. Since I was spending the money myself, I needed something reasonable. This mat is just the right size for my desk space (see pictures). I can do grapevines, side steps, heel digs, and all the other moves I like without stepping off the mat. I wedged one corner under my desk and added a small piece of carpet tape on the other side, and it hasn't moved an inch since I installed it. You can see a size comparison with my old 24x36 mat, and it will give you an idea of how much bigger this is.Why four stars and not five? It's simply regarding comfort factor. I can't fault the floor mat necessarily for that. I knew from the description that it wasn't going to be as thick as my other mat, and while it clearly does soften the walk on the concrete with a memory foam-like layer, there is a noticeable difference between walking on the other mat. But when I'm feeling more tired, I can actually double up the layers, and it's like walking on a cloud--I just have to watch where I walk.Overall, I'm very happy with this mat. It's easy enough to clean with a wet mop and vacuums up well enough. I would invest in another if I needed it.

I would buy it again
big enough to span the space between your sink island and the fridge behind you so you are not stepping off the transition edge of other smaller mats countless times while working in your triangle its a godsend. Only one draw back; its an open cell foam mat so when you step on it the impression forms micro cracks in the surface of the foam which eventually become porous to fine dust, crumbs and liquids spilled in a kitchen. Take it outside and give it a deep cleaning with a steam cleaner once a year, leave it out to dry and you'll be good to go all year with just regular sweeping. Mop up spills right away before it gets worked into the foam. Your legs will love the soft pressure relieving qualities of this mat making the maintenance a minor inconvenience.

I wish I had bought it sooner
I got this to go in front of my washer and dryer. The concrete floor is hard and soooooo cold this time of year, and this makes all the difference in the world to me.Admittedly, it's not the most attractive thing in the world, but for the laundry room? Who cares? I like that the edges are beveled to reduce the risk of tripping - especially because my cats are usually in there with me, so the tripping possibilities are very real. :)

Good look and feel, but not the most durable
Bought this as a comfort floor in my Jeep for the dog, and it's starting to tear after a few uses. Not saying this should be as sturdy as am industrial mat but was hoping for a little more strength

not too thick, and helps
I know some mats may be more cushy, but this one is thin enough that people don't trip over it.Over the years it has started to leave little bits of foam rubber on the floor though, I suppose it depends on your footwear in the kitchen - my house shoes have kind of an aggressive sole... decide for yourself.

Warmth?!? It's a mat for gosh sakes...
Good size and cushion thickness, wear and tear/durability will take more time to determine...

Happy with this purchase
I was worried it might be too thinning provide adequate cushion, but that was not the case is has very effect of lessening foot strain on from standing on hard ceramic tiles.Wish they had a size in-between the 3x5 and 3x12, I got the 3x5 and couple more feet would span the length the kitchen.

Great solution for dog kennel
I bought this for my senior dog who has arthritis. I put his bed on top when he is in his kennel with cement flooring. Adds cushioning and cleans easily. Thank you!
