Very well made commercial grade product at a great price
This product is so well made it is like something you would find in a gym. The biggest complaints are the assembly instructions. As my wife will tell you I am no "handy man", but I really had very little problem putting it together. The instructions are a one page diagram. I will give it to Valor they are the masters of being concise (short & sweet). I had a good laugh after reading the reviews and looking at this one page diagram. Just look at the diagram as puzzle crossing off each number as you progress. Make sure you review the nuts and bolts diagram. It makes sense after a while. Again the construction is commercial grade. I did no see the metal dust some reviewers complained about. The delivered product is heavy and UPS beat the hell out the box but there was no internal damage. I can strongly recommend this product.

GOOD BENCH
Valor makes excellent equipment for the price. They are probably one step below what you'd find in a commercial gym or college weight room yet still priced within what the average consumer can afford. I use this bench a couple times a week and like it. I don't buy any benches that aren't rated for at least 500lbs and this one is built fairly solid. You don't feel like you're taking your life in your hands when you climb on it. Highly recommend it for any serious lifters. I have several Valor fitness products and I'm happy with all of them.

Good value for the money.
This is pretty strurdy equipment for a home gym and a good value for the money. There were some problems. Assembly was a problem because one of the main holes wasn't machined to fit. Took pounding of hammer to get a shaft through the hole. Sloppy work at the factory making the item. Another thing is if you are using this for dumbbell declines like I do it's a bit of a balancing problem getting into position if you are by yourself. Holding two 80lbs dumbbells trying to get into position. It could be a problem if you misstep with one or two leg locked into position behind the pads. The bench has wheels that really come in handy to move the bench. It's strudy and at no time felt unsafe for the weight I use. If you decline in a power rack with this bench 405lbs you might have a different opinion. It's an attractive piece too for an addition to your home gym. I'm glad I got it. I have shoulder issues with flat and inclines. I have zero doing decline benching. Hits the chest hard.

Fantastic decline bench. The best on Amazon.
I read all these reviews, and this bench is awesome. Maybe they changed up the manufacturing, but there is no messy powder coating or anything like that at all. Very simple clean install. Anyone who has ever put together a bench knows now to expect a detailed step by step instruction. The diagram included is perfect and assembly was simple and easy. Very sturdy bench. I’ve already bought another Valor brand rack.

2) metal parts in the box were very dirty and a lot of rusty metal powder was persistently ...
I selected this bench based on extensive search, reading reviews and my own experience of doing fitness for decades. When I got the item, several things were exactly as those already described in other reviews: 1) eight nuts among ten those listed in the Manual were absent, but eventually were found to be not needed; 2) metal parts in the box were very dirty and a lot of rusty metal powder was persistently coming out of the parts holes 3) the bench leather-like cover looks weak and not long-lasting, indeed, upon first using, it started to "bubble"... In addition, I found that the part with padded parts (to fix feet during exercising) wobbles inside the main frame upon assembling - so I need yet to figure out how to fix it. In addition, one plastic part was missed in the package, and I still have to get it from the manufacturer. But the major disappointment was when during the assembling, the holes drilled in metal frame and in the bench, to connect them to each other, were not coinciding. Finally, upon applying efforts, I was able to match them... The guidance for assembling is not clear at all, so basically you need to apply your own experience and wits to figure out how to assemble it. An advice for assembling - the part #23 (Adjustment Sleeve) needs to be positioned outwards the bench center, but not inwards it (and also relatively the part #31, Front Shaft) - as it shown in the Manual, in many Photos found in Google (though in YouTube video it is shown right) - otherwise adjustment of the bench hight would be problematic. The bench decline angle is good, and it looks like it can be further increased upon putting some platform under the base front legs. Anyway, upon assembling, the bench looks to be well-constructed...

Great bench, strong and solid, no issues.
It's very strong and balanced. I use it for both abdominal exercises and as a decline bench lifting weights. Please note: there is a weight capacity on this bench. I've had no issues with this bench, it's great. Valor Fitness has some really great products. I own three of them so far, no issues with those either.

Built like a tank
Pricey but very solid and well built. Better than most decline benches at the local health clubs that I’ve used.

It ok
I gave it away. It’s just not what I was looking for, but my son enjoys using it all the time, but it was just not for me..
