Kawach Mask by IIT DELHI Start-up, Reusable and Washable protective face masks with 99% Filtration Efficiency Without Valve for Unisex

I ordered set of blue and gray. The gray ones are a bit smaller in size than the blue ones. Using for average build adults. Satisfied overall after use.The masks had a very strong smell of new fabric chemicals - impossible to use without washing. If the number of washes is limited (can't find that clarity in descriptions or question answers), then the first wash goes waste because of the smell. On washing, the 3 layers get a bit separated / mismatched, but can be easily smoothed out by hand.The fabric feels thick to wear initially, and can get sweaty in hot weather, but then it gets comfortable. The fabric outer is like soft hosiery material. No issues with breath / suffocation / talking. The mask fits beneath the chin - the overall cupping of the nose and mouth is very good. It will not slip or shift on its own once worn securely.Not sure if it can be compared with N95, since it feels like more of a fabric mask in a nice cutout shape. Can't comment on the inner layer since it is not visible, and I guess that layer is what does the filtering.The product description should have more detail about the number of washes possible, and the frequency of washing required.Overall, finding it a good alternative to the flat shape surgical masks. Satisfied.Edited after use: It still holds good after many washes - I doubt anything different after washing. At most, the fabric and elastic will start thinning out - one can stop using it when it feels like "not adequate coverage". We are satisfied - can wash it after every use - even in washing machine - and it is convenient. With the spares, it gets even more convenient to wash them and use a clean washed one every time. Overall it is very good as a fabric mask - but don't compare with anything more "technical" in nature.

Elastic is cheap quality and loose.need to be improved.

Received only 10 pcs (grey) instead of 20. Amazon refunded the total money as short quanity and suggested to keep received 10 with me and order once again for same 20 pcs. Ordered for black onethis time. Manufacturer must mention size of mask. Black color is of large size. Blue is medium and grey is small. Elastic is not so good but mask made of good material cloth. Washable but must not be squeeze after wash.. Just let it dry in air. Takes lot of time to dry. Anyways solves the purpose. Can't waste money on disposable mask every time.

Very good product for non lengthy usage. Offers great coverage. Only downside is that if you use it for longer duration (2-3hours) the ear elastic starts hurting your ears since the width of the ear elastic is small. It is washable which is Good for us since we need to wear masks daily. Cloth is soft and comfortable. Washing it too many times might fade the colour a bit. But i guess no mask is built for multiple washing.

This product of IIT can be called a 'jugaad' mask as you cannot tell how many layers it actually has - there's loose cloth inside the mask that you can feel between layers. The stitches are also loose so I will not be machine washing. The mask is very short (maybe good for summers) and barely covers mouth and nose. Wish there was more R&D on material (as it feels like T-shirt cloth) along with high quality finishing. Long-term impact would be felt only on using.

I don't why the top institute of India had to put their name on it to sell this off. this is made out of same cloth as "cotton inner wear". I don't know how much it will save from Corona, but something is better than nothing.Good part: it wipes of sweat like a champ (being a comfy cloth material)Bad part: it causes too much heat near upperlips and chin, so first it causes sweat and then it wipes it :-)

I wear large size masks.This fits fine gives a 3D fit.Very soft fabric,washable reuseable.A fine indian product suited for our weather.The fabric like smell goes off in half an hour.Excellent for regular everyday any place use.N95 3M type masks are only for health professionals working in a covid infested zone.That's why a noseclip is unnecessary here.And most definately it will filter and ensure covid protection too.Grey and black are my fav though light blue is more soft then the other two.It's the maruti suzuki of masks.So reasonably priced does its job great mileage long lasting and most of all Made in India.Well done for a great product
