Temporary fun
I purchased these for the purpose of writing temporary labels on various glass plastic & metal surfaces in my kitchen. I love it. They do tend to rub off a little too easily on glass jars that get handled & used often. Even the slightest touch takes it off, but on the writable black duct tape, it has a little more staying power. Mostly it just wipes right off. If the surface holds it a little more, I've found a damp wash cloth or a baby wipe takes it off just fine. I'm not sure, but I believe these have felt tips. I had to press them into the pens in order to cause the liquid chalk to flow into the pens. It took a minute, but once primed, they worked fine. I did discover that my little helpers had damaged the felt tips with their heavier hands. They still write just fine, but it doesn't quite feel as nice or narrow & smooth, so even though these clean up well from smooth surfaces, I wouldn't hand them over to little children unless they know what they can write on & stick to it & don't feel they need to work really hard to write. They are adequate for my purposes. i got these finer tips for writing on smaller surface areas, such as jar lids. I wouldn't use these for canned goods, it will come off too easily. For that you definitely want something of a more permanent nature, such as a label or a sharpie. :) but for temporary things, it's pretty awesome.

Bold Colors and Thin Lines
I am using these liquid chalk markers on a large, black vinyl wall calendar. I like that the colors of the markers are bold and that there are a variety of them that can be used for different family member's appointments and other special notes. The tip of the marker is small enough that I can read what I have written quite easily. They are not "fine tipped" in the sense that an ink pen is fine tipped, just to avoid any confusion. I have regular markers that are called fine tipped, and these chalk markers do not make that kind of fine line. They write a much thinner line than a regular marker, though, and work well with a larger calendar. It would not work very well on a calendar that is say 10 by 12.. The markers come packaged in stiff plastic sleeve with a top that re-closes with a tab. The markers themselves are not the size of a regular marker, but much thinner and bit shorter. They are easy to hold and to write with. Replacing them in the package is easy enough. It's nice and small if you need to carry it with you when you travel outside your home. I have not used them for very long, so I will update this if they run out of liquid sooner than expected. Just a hint: read the directions on the package to get the ink flowing, or you may think they are dried out!

Used for Chalkboard despite warning...turned out great!
I used this to write on a chalkboard that I purchased for my daughter's 1st bday party and photo shoot. But I only used the pink one of this pack. I didn't realize how small the tips were, so if you need bigger get a bigger (mm) size. Luckily I already had a huge white one cause I didn't test/use them until the night before her party. I just used the pink one mainly to accent the white. Gave 4 stars because I had to shake it a awful lot to get paint flowing and it kept drying out. But if I made a mistake while writing/drawing all I did was take a baby wipe to clean it off. Delivery time was awesome. It served its purpose. Received a couple warning emails from the sellers saying its not to be used for a chalkboard, I did it anyways because thats why I purchased them and it turned out just fine.

Picture Perfect!
I friggin love these things! I use them at work on sheet protectors to cross out completed tasks for the day, it comes off without leaving behind residue or color. I us it on my dry erase board and it shows up perfect. I have used them on regular paper and they show up just as bright. I brought them to a bar and drew penis's on the windows and it was fun and easy to clean up so I did not get in trouble. These work great on chalk boards, windows, any surface that could be wiped clean. To get them to work you have to press down on the tip to get the ink flowing so i would suggest doing this on either a hard surface because if you use it on the softer white boards it will dent it while you push down. But once the ink is ready to use you do not have to press hard at all to use it.

They don't hold their ink!
I should've been wary of all the reviews from people who received free products, but that seemed to be an issue for a lot of brands so I overlooked it. My guess is those people only used the markers once. They do indeed work well at first. The problem is...you need to re-prime them nearly every usage which makes it VERY annoying if you intend on using them on a frequent basis. Instead of jotting something down quickly, you need to shake it and press down on the tip a bunch of times just to get started. I expected that on first use, but not daily. And because you're pressing on the tip so regularly, the tips split and won't write as finely after awhile. I store them upside-down and it does not seem to make a difference.Colors are vibrant, so if you need it for one-time use, they'd be okay.
