I would have written about it under my account, but i prefer it to rightfully show up as a Verified Purchase, so that it benefits the seller, even though I had to buy it through my mother's account. My previous similar power supply cord, on the rectangular part, had over heated & I felt a sticky liquid all over it, so I disposed of it. That left my computer with very little to no battery bars left to work. Since I knew I could order through my mother's Prime account & get a new one as quickly as possible before losing battery power, that is just what I did. I purchased the one sold by Ankon Direct & fulfilled by Amazon.I have an old Dell Inspiron ET505 laptop, & a friend refurbished it for me & also got me a power supply cord from an unknown source, when it stopped working over 3 years ago. The original power cord had a heavy solid feel to the rectangular part & was much better. The one my friend got me lasted 6 months, & it feels, looks, & functions the same as the Ankon/Amazon one.The "friend" one was very light at the rectangular part & it always got hot after an hour or two, but it always charged up the battery fully, then Itook the plug out to let it cool off. Because I usually am on the computer for at least a few hours (including breaks), I had to keep plugging it back in to recharge the battery & taking it out to cool off again, over & over a few times.So far the thing I like better with the Ankon/Amazon one is that the plug is 3 prong, much better than my "friends" which was 2 prong.Still, for under $10 this power supply cord is 4 stars for how inexpensive it is. If it overheats with sticky stuff coming out, or stops working in any way, before 6 months passes, I will change it from 4 stars to fewer. It is good to check the rectangular part every so often, after about an hour. I would not want to spend more on a power supply cord because I am using a 10 year old laptop & I will need to get a better one soon. (I had a new one which I returned after a year and a half as a lemon, & then I went back to using this old one when it was refurbished for me by my friend.) I think people would like this power supply cord as an extra one, especially to carry around, since it is light & cheap in price..

I actually bought one of these for my laptop a couple years ago & it was great, my laptop charged faster & the battery lasted longer, I messed up & left it connected for over a month & the charger overheated. I bought a new one, it’s a little slimmer, the light is a different color but it’s still just as amazing as the first.

Even though the information provided by the seller said this could replace my current power supply cord, every time I turn on my computer it says I'm not using the correct power supply.Also, when it's plugged in and I'm using my computer it will not simultaneously charge the battery. So it only charges the battery if the computer is off.Finally, my old adapter came with a rubber binder, that was not included. That was nice for keeping all the cords nice and organized when I have it packed way in my bag. I just pulled the old one of my power supply and it fit right into this replacement. Overall it was a decent purchase for the price and I guess it works well enough...

I got tired of climbing under my desk to unplug my charger and wrap it up to take home from work each night. I bought this as an extra to keep at home. I was worried it wouldn't charge my laptop properly because the charger was shaped different than the one that came with my laptop from the factory, but it works great. The numbers on the sticker match so I know it is the right charger. My coworkers are all jealous and planned to order extras for their homes.

you get what you pay for...this does the job.but its extremely lightweight and cheaply made compared to the factory adapter.but hey it does what i need it to do which is power my machine.

I bought this because my previous charger kept overheating. It freaked me out because it would get so hot that I felt like I would get burned if I touched it. And that made me worried that it was a firehazzard. While this product still gets pretty hot after usage, it is not as bad as the other

It started out real good but now it can't hold the charge and my kangaroo keeps dieting even while it's plugged in.

This AC adapter works like a charm for the money.I just wish that the length of the cords was longer.
