1 HP Single Speed, Dual Port, Flow-Force Replacement Pump for Above Ground Pools with On/Off Switch and Universal Fitting Kit

Let me start off by saying I'm not using this pump for a pool within it's compacity nor am I using this for an above ground pool. I have this pump hooked up to a 25k inground dive pool.Filter is a 110lb sand unit on mixed and matched 1.5 inch plumbing. Worth noting, there's gotta be 2 inches of dirt in the bottom of this pool.Watching this thing run, it's pretty obvious I'm pushing this pump much harder than it was designed to. It cannot, and will not self-prime. It actually never completely fills the pump, even after backwash 😂With all that in mind, the fact that the cheapest pump on Amazon is working as well as it is... Well it's reasonably impressive. It's been running 24/7 for about 3 weeks straight. I've had a handful of 90°+ days. I've vacuumed straight dirt, sand and goop to waste through this pump. It lost prime once overnight, I have no idea how long it ran dry. Re-primed manually and fired right back up.And of course it's plugged into the longest extension cord you've ever seen... Sticker on the motor specifically says not to do that lol.Basically, I'm abusing this thing and it's taking it all in stride. This pool hasn't opened in 5-6 years and I don't think I'll make it another year, so I needed something cheap that'd work.It works.I couldn't see the bottom of the shallow end (3ft) and within 24 hours I had eyes on the bottom. It's still pretty dirty, but I'd wager half of the dirt and sludge has been filtered out by now. If you just need a pump now and you don't care... totally buy this. Worth every penny.EDIT: I sucked enough sediment and general mashed nature through to totally seize the impeller in the housing. Disassembled and cleaned, ran like nothing happened. Pump continues to run 24/7.

Very low noise and I run this pump 5 hours a day with no problems at all

Very nice efficient pump. Only issue is I screwed up and purchased the one that has only 1 speed. The last one I had cracked because like a dope I let it sit outside all winter. That one had two speeds, one for filtration and one for vacuuming. Other than that so far so good.

This pump had an electrical issue but pools to go were great about their returns and for that they get 5 stars I would buy from them again
