*REVIEW AIMED FOR GAMING USAGE OF THIS SSD*
So, I've recived this SSD a week ago and i have used it extensively on Long Gaming sesions (Around 3-4+ hrs) On Online Muliplayer Games (like Destiny 2) And i haven't expereince any Overheating issues or Frame drops AT ALL. The SSD comes with 2 different Cable Combos depending on your system and it's meant usage:USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB.(IF YOUR SETUP SUPPORTS IT, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO USE THE USB-C TO USB-C CABLE BECAUSE THAT CABLE IS THE ONE WITH THE FASTEST SPEED.)And honestly, I was amazed when i opened the package and saw the variety of cable options it has because other competitors from what i saw dont offer more that 1 cable and this product comes with 2 cable options so that's a +1 for me.The SSD desing it's small as it claims to be it's super light so it will fit every space you put it on and it won't look ugly like other SDD's Desings out there. The only incovinience i had with this Product it's that my SSD camed with a diffetent format (exFAT), I personally don't even know what that is but i did a bit of research and if you meant to use this SSD i totally recommend you to switch or double check the SSD's current format because i learned that after i downloaded 4+ games into it and had to re-download them after i realized that because if you switch formats it will delete everything you install and let me tell you, Switching exFAT to NTFS (The format you should be using) it makes this SSD be a BEAST. I played on it before i switch formats and it loaded games really quick but it wasn't until i changed format that this SSD really started to shine in all it's glory.PS: BE SUPER CAREFULL BEFORE OPENING THE SSD PRODUCT BOX BECAUSE IT COMES WRAPED IN A WAY THAT IT YOU OPEN IT WHILE STANDING OR ON A HIGH PLACE IT COULD DROP TO THE GROUND, Luckly i was sitting on a chair and it landed on my lap. Also, as an optional suggestion i put my SSD on top of 2 small Lego pieces just so it could have decent airflow in case it starts to hear up

Fast, Reliable, and Compact — The Perfect External SSD
I’ve been using the Samsung T7 Portable SSD (1TB) for a year now, and it’s hands-down one of the best storage devices I’ve owned. Whether you’re a photographer moving large RAW files, a video editor needing quick transfers, or just someone who wants fast, reliable backups, the T7 hits the mark in every category.PerformanceSpeed is the biggest selling point here, and the T7 delivers. With USB 3.2 Gen 2 support, I consistently see read and write speeds in the 900+ MB/s range when connected to compatible devices. Real-world use backs it up—transferring large batches of photos or video files is smooth and snappy. What used to take minutes on a traditional external hard drive now takes seconds. It’s also incredibly responsive for everyday tasks. I’ve used it to run applications, store active project files, and even as a scratch disk for video editing. It handles everything without hesitation.Portability and DesignThe T7 is sleek, lightweight, and about the size of a stack of business cards. It slips easily into any bag or even a pocket, making it ideal for travel or working on the go. Despite its size, it feels sturdy, with a metal body that gives it a premium, durable feel. I’ve dropped it once (accidentally) from desk height, and it didn’t even leave a scratch—both the drive and the files were perfectly fine.Samsung includes both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables, so it’s compatible with just about anything out of the box. I’ve used it with a MacBook, Windows PC, and even a tablet—no issues on any platform.Security and SoftwareSamsung offers optional password protection with AES 256-bit encryption through its software, which is great if you’re storing sensitive data. The setup is straightforward, and the interface is clean. That said, you can also just use it as a plug-and-play drive without ever touching the software—it’s flexible depending on how you want to use it.ReliabilityAfter heavy, regular use, the drive hasn’t missed a beat. No corrupted files, no dropped connections, no strange noises (as you’d get with spinning hard drives)—just consistent, solid performance. It stays cool under load and reconnects instantly when switching between devices. I’ve also appreciated that it doesn’t need an external power source—it draws what it needs directly from the device it’s plugged into.⸻Pros:• Blazing-fast read/write speeds (up to ~1,000 MB/s)• Compact, lightweight, and durable aluminum design• Plug-and-play across Windows, macOS, and more• Comes with both USB-C and USB-A cables• Optional password protection with AES encryption• Completely silent operation• No external power source neededCons:• Maximum speeds require USB 3.2 Gen 2 port (slower on older ports)• Included software is basic (fine for most users but not feature-rich)• Costs more than standard hard drives (but well worth it for the speed and reliability)⸻Final ThoughtsThe Samsung T7 1TB Portable SSD is one of those rare tech products that does exactly what it promises—and does it exceptionally well. It’s fast, reliable, and thoughtfully designed. Whether you’re using it for work, backups, or media storage, it’s a hassle-free solution that feels like a real upgrade over older external drives. It’s not the cheapest storage option out there, but if speed, portability, and peace of mind matter to you, it’s easily worth the investment. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.
