GE LED+ Dusk to Dawn Candelabra Bulbs, Outdoor Security, E12, 2 Pack

While I was waiting for delivery of these bulbs, I started reading more deeply into the negative reviews. A few people were saying that they don’t work in a fixture that has 2 bulbs, because one of them detects the light from the other bulb, so it won’t turn on. I was thinking UGH, this is not going to work for me, as all of my fixtures have 2 bulbs. I was pleasantly surprised when I installed them that both bulbs worked in all of my fixtures. I’m thinking that may have been an issue with earlier versions, but they’ve since resolved it. Anyway, I was worrying for no reason, they work beautifully! Highly recommend.

Nice and bright, and turn themselves off if I forget. No need to pay extra for outdoor lights that have the built in light sensor. These bulbs do their job. When first installed the bulbs will light up during daylight - just wait around and they will turn off. My electrician was impressed. These bulbs also look nice during daylight hours.

I recently started using these dust to dawn bulbs and they are a game changer. No more forgetting to turn on or off the outside lights. This takes care of it. Highly recommended!

I should give this 5 stars because it’s be working amazingly well. Installation is easy, energy efficient, pretty bright as well. I took of 1 star because I was going to return it as the dawn to dusk detection was not working it after installation and that was the whole reason for getting this bulb. I gave a last try by leaving it on for a couple of days and then turned it on and off once again and boom! It’s been working perfectly fine since then with the switch in the on position. Turns on at dusk and goes off at dawn!

I have the bulbs installed in fixtures that flank either side of my garage door. One of the bulbs refuses to turn on at dusk (but it will turn off at dawn). I have removed the other bulb to see if it was interfering, but it still won't turn on unless i turn the switch off then back on again. There is no other nearby light source, and in fact, a nearby tree makes that corner very dark. I have tried "resetting" the light according to directions online, but nothing seems to help. Update - I called GE and was told the one bulb was likely defective, so I returned this order and placed another, and now, both light bulbs come on at dusk. It really is nice to not have to worry about remembering to turn my outside lights on and off. The bulbs are worth the price, even if they do have to be replaced every 3.5 years. My only disappointment right now would be that the claimed 13.7 years life expectancy of the lights is based 3 hours daily usage. Since the whole purpose of buying dusk-to-dawn lights is to not have to manually turn the lights off and on, they will actually be on about 10 to 12 hours a night. The 3-year warranty is also based on 3 hour daily usage. I still would have purchased the bulbs had the warranty been 9 months (based on 12 hour daily usage) and if the life expectancy of the bulbs had been stated at 3.4 years, so that's why I am not taking off a star for the deceptive package labeling.

These work perfectly: even through frosted glass, in a fan, in a gazebo.

Great product and seller

I ordered 2 boxes of the GE Dusk to dawn LED bulbs and one box worked while the other did not - the defective bulbs would Light up during the day. I returned the defective box and got a quick replacement. The replacement bulbs also don’t work. These too stay on while it’s daylight. The sensors are not working. I tested them by switching them out with the good ones.. the picture shows one one and the other off. I’ll try one more time for a replacement, and if these don’t work, I’ll return them all as I want all the bulbs to match. Anyone know a reliable brand?

Not only good to save electricity by the auto turn off function, but it's also pretty.

Sensor on outdoor pole light wasn’t working. Ordered and Tried these bulbs and they work great. No need to replace the sensor.
