They protect the pole tips and floors. They also can easily slip off in soft dirt. For me that is more good than bad because I want to take the tips off when walking trails in the wild and put them on when I am walking on pavement or inside. If they were tight enough to stay in place I couldn't do that. Review: Durable and come in a pack. - I lost one off my pole after going through mud. I like these because now I have plenty of extras in case I loose more. They fit most poles and are well made.

Great replacement!
I use hiking poles almost daily, as a replacement for a cane. The problem with that is the rubber tips wear out rather quickly I was glad to find a 16 pack of replacement tips. I’ve had the same one on for a couple of months, and it shows no visible wear. I expect 16 of them will last me a few years

Great fit
We lost the end to our Columbia Trekking poles in the mud. Bought these and they fit perfectly. And now we have spares for the next time we lose them. My husband and I like the rubber tip ends for climbing in rocky areas. Happy with purchase.

They last and the metal hiking pole tip dose not poke through
I just took this tips on a 5 day hiking trip to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. This tips are rounded at the end and made of hard rubber with a metal washer between the metal tip of the hiking pole and the hard rubber, they hold up! Because the rubber is harder than most walking rubber tips and there is extra rubber because the tip is rounded they last. The model that has a flat rubber tip grips better to the sides of rocks, but the poles melt tip pokes through in a few days if you are hiking rock and high elevation terrain. THESE ARE THE BEST TREKKING RUBBER TIPS I'VE FOUND SO FAR, AND WILL STICK WITH THIS TIPS FROM NOW ON.

they work
They fit tight so they stay on better and the pattern on the tip helps with grip

Fit ascend trekking pole, just the same as new.

I go through one tip every day
I bought these rubber tips with the aluminum washer on the inside hoping they would last a little longer. NO chance. I have to replace my tips at least once a day sometimes twice. That is an average of 10 rubber tips a week X times 2 poles. That's 20 tips a week. Please make something that will last longer.
