Great quality but the one I received was defective.

Seems to be decent quality. Plan ahead when installing this where you don't have much play in the PVC pipes, as the union hinders more than it helps. One half slides in about 1/2" to the other, so it may be easier to install this fully assembled. I was expecting the union to have a flat mating surface on both sides and an o-ring in the middle, but since this slips in so far, it also won't be very useful to disconnect it in the winter to deal with frost heave (if mounted horizontally). If I have to replace it again, I'll likely pick a true union instead.

Worked perfectly. My original valve was 34 years old and this is the exact replacement. Price was exceptional compared to local dealers.

This valve was impossible to find locally, no-one carries a valve like this (not the plunger style) with a female threaded end on both sides. Perfect replacement for my old in-ground pool valves.

Great valve for inground pool. Don't get the cheap non Hayward ones they are terrible. Hard to open and close it takes a pliars and leak after a few years. These are a requirement for any inground pool in my opinion.

Worked just like the one this replaced. Hope I get another 13 years out of this one!
