Kewpie Deep-Roasted Sesame Dressing -No MSG 1L

I tried sesame dressing for the first time last year. I fell in love instantly with its umami-type flavour. I don't know how I had missed this taste sensation over the years, given that I watch several YouTube Asian cooking channels, quite a few of whom use sesame dressing. I regularly purchase the (made in Asia) Kewpie mayonnaise for its unique flavour, so when it came to choosing a sesame dressing, the Kewpie brand was the obvious choice. I purchased a small bottle first to test, but now I've discovered just how much I use this in place of other dressings, getting the large bottle just makes sense. Mixed it into a salad, this is perfection. The dressing blends nicely as a thick liquid, leaving a lovely coating on ingredients. More importantly is adds so much oomph to the taste. I add it to rice*, sandwiches with chicken breast and, of course, salad. My favourite, though, is tossing it through a cabbage and carrot mix - a very special coleslaw. It's hard to explain the depth of flavour of this dressing. Straight out of the bottle, it is very strong, but that's not how it's eaten; as an addition to dishes, it enhances everything, more so than mayonnaise, vinegrette, or other dressings. I've tried it on so many things, and just love the extra 'punch' it provides. I think I'm addicted. This size is very good value for money. * Really, really something on rice with tinned tuna.

This is delicious, lasts a long time so worth getting the big bottle. Packed and sent well.

I absolutely love this dressing and have re-ordered it many times. My only criticism is the packaging. The bottle is very thin, so it dents quite easily, and the label looks rather untidy and crinkly. I think the packaging could do with a little more polish to improve the overall presentation of an otherwise lovely product.

Love this sauce on everything, it tastes so wholesome. This one is quite expensive here though, usually £10 at Chinese supermarkets.

The 1L bottle is excellent value if you use it often, though it’s fairly large and takes up fridge space, so I put half in a glass bottle (I’m boujee like that!)The flavour is quite bold, so it may be stronger than typical dressings we find at the supermarket. Pros: rich sesame taste, creamy texture, very versatile, good value Cons: strong flavor, large bottle size A great option if you enjoy Japanese-style sesame dressings and want something with real depth of flavour.
