Accentuate is the award winning new guess-the-accent game, developed by Wirral based brother-sister team and launched 2014. It was originally created as a fun party game for close family gatherings and soon realised the widespread appeal from the fun of accents: Can you copy a Cockney, mimic a Mancunian or ape an Australian? If your imitation skills are up to scratch you'll go far with Accentuate, the new party game that will have you squirming with embarrassment! Accentuate boasts a simple yet humiliating premise, repeat a given quotation aloud in a randomly selected accent and see if team-mates can guess what it is! The worse the accent attempts are, the more hilarious the game becomes as players struggle to separate their Geordie from their German, their Scouse from their Spanish: Featuring 30 different drawls from around the globe, a third of which are home-grown British accents. Accentuate players are under blush-inducing pressure to perform, with just 30 seconds to recite one of the 90 Quotations in their randomly selected accent.

This was fun, but very difficult
This was fun, but very difficult! We didn't know what a lot of the accents were and had to guess.

concept is fun... in reality not so!
concept is fun, but in reality most people fail to do a good accent! everyone ends up sounding like they are either from the middle east, welsh, Australian or Jordy! :) but the game got boring a bit quick. sorry!but the product is great, well packaged, designed etc. just game play was a bit boring! might be the fact we wasn't drunk enough maybe? ...

Didn't really live up to the hype
You have to read out a film quote and then repeat the film quote in a given accent. Your team then have to guess name and year of the film and then the accent. Honestly, unless you're a complete film buff it's very very difficult... The film quotes are really not that well known, and the dates are near impossible. For instance I had a very obscure film quote from 'the Eagle has landed'. The accent element is funny for a while, however unless you're good at accents then everyone just sounds Indian, which is funny for a minute. It was OK for a bit of fun after Christmas Dinner, however we didn't finish the game and I don't imagine we'll play again.

Nobody wants to play it
I've had this game for over a year now and every time I have guests/friends over I tell them about it and if they'd like to play it. No is the general answer, or the few times I have got it out, people either don't know the accents listed, or don't know the obscure films listed that date back far beyond anyones comprehension, and it happens very regularly. It just cant get flowing. It doesn't instil fun, it cant be used as a drinking game, and most of the time people would rather play cards against humanity. Shame. I thought the concept was cool.

Far too difficult as based on film quotes that are not even famous!
Too difficult. Some of the accents are impossible. The quotes you hva to guess are not even famous or well known. We are avid board game players /trivia players and gabe up after 15 min.

Seriously Awful Game!
Don't believe the video advert for this game, I cannot understand how anyone could leave a 5 star review! It is seriously rubbish. Stayed with it for half an hour, not even a giggle. Absolute garbage! Played 3 Second Rule and Taboo afterwards which were both really good fun!
