I've read the reviews... There are no instructions on the package other than dropping the cartridge into the sunscent holder. And if you do that, you'll smell nothing.You have to remove the outer solid plastic sleeve from the perforated basket that holds the beads. Then place the basket into the holder. In the Optima 880, only the blower will force air through the basket--not the regular jets.I hope this helps!

These were too big in diameter to fit into my Safe-Step tub. Really griped me, because they smell so good. So, I got a pair of pliers and twisted and pulled the top off of bot containeres. I poured the beads into the old container, replaced the top, and it works just fine. Just be careful when pulling the tops off. Slow and easy, don't rush! I really enjoy the scent. Makes tub time even more enjoyable!

I use these but sometimes wonder why. You can barely detect the scent out of the hot tub blowers.

Don’t waste your money. Very little fragrance when in use… plus they disburse a kind of oily gucky substance in the water.Wouldn’t recommend.

This has a slight scent, but not enough to smell through the water.
