This record weight / "clamp" is beautifully made and finished. It rotates on perfect center, the bubble in the top dead steady, and stays out of the way of the cartridge when it skates into the runout area of the record. This is an absolutely perfect "utility" accessory for my budget audiophile turntable. Yesterday, I played a record with a distinct "bow" in it that I bought used. It flattened it enough that I was able to play it well enough to transcribe it to digital. Without the record weight, it was unplayable. Does it improve the sound of other "flat" records? Well, not to my ears, but at this unbelievably reasonable price, it squarely falls into the "can't hurt" category. Assuring better contact between the record and the platter mat has been an accepted improvement in the audiophile community for ever. There are hundreds of available variations of this item, some with outlandish claims and one purportedly made of exotic African Mpingo wood that costs $4800! Yup, that's not a typo. So, in my opinion, if you like playing vinyl and don't have a record weight and believe that it may help and certainly can't hurt. this Viborg one is functional, beautiful and effective. And, it comes in different finishes to match your turntable.

Although I greatly prefer CDs to vinyl LPs, I lately have decided, considering the waning popularity and availability of CDs, that I may need to turn some attention again to records, both old and new. I own a modestly priced turntable of good overall build and sound quality, but its housing is made primarily of cost-saving plastic, rather than of a more vibration-insulating material such as hardwood, granite, or composite. Thus, any small, easy modification I might make to reduce ambient feedback can produce big results. Recently, I added four rubberized cork feet, which reduced the more obvious distortions from nearby components and furnishings. However, believing my turntable capable of even better sound, I purchased this VIBORG LP628B SPINDLE WEIGHT (with built-in bubble leveler and strobe scale) on a whim, and I'm glad I did! It works perfect, this was the perfect gift. it keeps the record in place. Our place is not level at all, so it help us to level our furniture to make sure the turntable is level . worth the price!

This is a really solid device which fit perfectly on my platter and allowed me to level my turntable effectively. One issue that I have with it is that it was hard for me to see the bubble to make sure that it was centered properly. But that’s pretty minor, I was surprised at how this device felt like a very high quality precise instrument. One other thing that I thought was very convenient is that it fits over the spindle without adding any spacers. You will not be disappointed if you purchase his product it is a very good value.

Has a good weight to it and is extremely easy to use. Really helped with making sure the turntable was straight.

I was skeptical at first of using a record weight, however after noticing that sometimes my record would spin a second after the acrylic platter was spinning I decided it was time to try one. I chose this week because it also has yatted function of a strobe pattern as well as a bubble level in the center. Now my record it's formally made it to the platter and Spins at the same time without any slippage and I can always tell whether my turntable is level. I've got on to buy a couple more because I like them so much and everyone that has seen them as comment is how cool they look. At this price point I must say the definitely worse the purchase

Overall rating: 5 Stars. A quality solid machined aluminum block weight for turntable regardless of price. 10 stars for being priced reasonably in comparison to other name brand weight/clamp. It fits my Sonographe SG3 turntable with lid down perfectly. Remember you can adjust platter height with spring loaded turntables or you can add shims to the cover on a direct drive turntable. It has good heft, helps to flatten out slightly warped records, and couples it to the platter for a more stable spin. It does seem to help cut down rumbles and background noise on records. Bass seems more solid and treble has more shimmers. The soft rubber base protects the record labels while sitting on top of it. The spindle level bubble is accurate and makes DYNAMIC leveling the platter a breeze; something that I could not do before. It also checked out with my other STATIC levels. The RPM strobe label is just a bonus for anyone with an adjustable speed turntable. You can download a strobe or RPM app for your smart phone and play with it. My turntable motor is AC sync fixed speed (+2%) so I have nothing to adjust. My ears are not perfect pitch that can detect consistence 2 percent pitch difference so it's all good.

This works as I expected. The right weight and reminds me that I have balanced my turntable correctly. I’ve tried others but this is my favorite.

Best centre weight for vinyl i have bought. Has a centre level to check that the record is moving properly on the table. Great item.

Built is solid and delivery is quick. Definitely my vinyl have become flat. Im currently observing sound quality.
