Milwaukee 48-11-1852 M18 REDLITHIUM XC 5.0 Ah Extended Capacity Battery (2 pack)

The Amazon ad states (2 pack) and I assumed that means an OEM retail blister 2 pack. Photos in the reviews show that apparently at one time they shipped the batteries in the OEM retail pack. Not so any more. My order arrived yesterday with the batteries packed in plastic bags in a soft USPS mailer. No blister pack, no Milwaukee paper work, just 2 batteries. So, are they new or reconditioned? No way to really tell. They appear to be new, both took a charge normally but I have only had time for a light use test. The ad should be corrected to be more accurate.

Didn't get what I received. These batteries are listed as sold by Milwaukee and an Amazon Choice battery and received not what was described. Disappointing.

I was hesitant to purchase these batteries because they were cheaper than most other options out there. I was concerned that I’d be getting refurbished batteries, or some kind of knockoff. The batteries showed up in original Milwaukee packaging, and were exactly as described. They charged up in short order and seem to work perfectly!

must be counterfeit batteries they do not hold a charge for nothing. My 3 year old batteries hold and keep a charge a lot longer.

I received these batteries and fully charged them, waited for them to cool down, then used them. I use a 3/4" impact and was taking lug nuts off of a 10-ton truck. I got the first two axles almost done before the wrench just stopped working. Thinking the battery just died, I switched to the other battery and got back to working. I got through three wheels before that one suddenly quit. So I go to charge them up and the charger immediately turns green. I press the power check button on the battery and the lowest level light blinks a few times. I try to charge the other battery and the charger flashes red and green. I push the button on the battery and the light flashes a few times and then shuts off. Neither battery works anymore and will not charge. I looked up this issue on Google and Youtube and saw some possible fixes, but talking with my neighbor he says those rarely work. I just received these batteries yesterday, so I'm returning them for a refund.The return process is a bit disappointing, especially for a product that breaks within a few hours of using it. Shipping isn't covered to return, and there's a restocking fee if the product is broken. So that's frustrating. Maybe if you can find batteries from some other distributor other than Pro Distributing it'd be better.The Milwaukee tools themselves have been amazing; crazy torque, but the batteries are unreliable at best, and, based on some other reviews, potentially lethal at worst, catching fire.

These 5.0s are some of the best bang-for-your-buck batteries on the market. Each weighs 1.6 pounds. I own several Milwaukee M18 tools and these power them all longer than the XC or compact batteries ever did. My 6 1/2 circular saw has more torque with this 5.0 when ripping plywood sheets for subfloors or roof sheathing. My drills go through entire workdays without needing recharging. The jobsite radio can blast tunes from sun up to sunset without draining the entire charge. I haven't been able to drain one of these in my Fuel impact wrench even over TWO work days (driving structural fasteners 4 and 6 inch and pre-drilling and boring through all types of lumber, plywood and beams). These are the best quality batteries I've had the pleasure of working with since this battery race began. I now own a "High Demand" 9.0 battery and recently used it in my compact blower for 45 minutes straight on high; and the 9.0 battery still had a bar of charge left. The H.D. 9.0 is definitely a "BEAST" of a battery at 2.4 pounds.

Are these legitimate Milwaukee batteries? They work well and last long. But the first time I got these batteries in the sun, the label started peeling. (See pic) plus the button you press to check the battery level somehow is stuck in the pressed position. So it constantly flashes the battery level now. Kind of frustrating considering how much I paid for these! I’ve used these batteries once to rotate my tires. The battery pack didn’t even lose one bar of life. I also used it on the fan while camping and only used a half a battery using it all night. So the batteries themselves seem good. It just makes me question a couple things with the cheap labels/stickers on the front. I’m new to the Milwaukee world so this might be a trend but it’s defiantly something I noted and felt like I needed to write into the review. I’ll update this if anything changes or I need to add anything

Awesome. Why pay big box store prices for only 1 battery when you can get 2 here for the same price?! Identical product as off the shelf. I was a bit skeptical, thinking 5.0 ah batteries would be repack from larger bundle....nope! Came in that bullet proof annoying manufacturer display shelf plastic that can potentially slice your hands open if you’re not careful. A welcomed sight I guess.

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GETTING BATTERIES FOR YOUR CORDLESS, BUY ORIGINAL- I BOUGHT KNOCKOFFS FIRST AND FOUND THEY DID NOT FIT PROPERLY AND ONLY LASTED HALF THE TIME. I ENDED PITCHING THEM OUT AFTER JUST A YEAR THESE MILWAUKEE BATTERIES WORK EXCELLENT AND HAVE TWICE THE LASTING POWER. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I was getting tired of constantly recharging my 1Ahr batteries. These 5Ahr versions really last a long time. The price was right also.

My 3/4" Milwaukee came with XC 4.0 and after 5 years, batteries got tired. Replaced with these and the gun hits hard. So hard that it broke off wheel stud the other day as someone had it cross threaded on before lol

These M-18 batteries were new in the package. Factory batteries and work great.
