Very pleased with this bed. Purchased for our son’s room. Looks even better in person than expected. Received in two separate shipments. The second shipment was delayed so seller refunded us a portion of shipping cost which was appreciated. Assembly was fairly simple and straightforward. It took my husband and I approximately four hours start-to-finish. I am fairly handy and was able to assemble most of it on my own. Although, it was very helpful to have both of us assemble the drawers as it would have been difficult for me to hold the drawer sides in place and operate the cordless drill simultaneously (this and the slats were the only steps we utilized the cordless drill for). The bed is sturdy but lightweight which makes it easy for me to manage when cleaning, making the bed, etc. The drawer unit is a separate unit and not affixed to the bed in anyway. It is also open on the backside which is not visible but we will probably enclose it just to keep dust out. Overall, we’re very pleased with the quality, appearance, and size of this bed. Our son says he doesn’t like it...he loves it! Highly recommend.

This bed is beautiful and I was nervous about the quality and sturdiness. The wood looks great and us nice and thick. The weight limit concerns me. But myself and 2 kids seem to be just fine to. Watch tv on the bed. I do wish that the drawer came all the back, maybe just a little deeper. But honestly the storage is great abs the bed looks amazing.

The packages were large and cumbersome, but once actually opened with all the pieces laid out the bed was easy to build. Even my toddler assisted! The bed is pretty sturdy, make sure follow the final instruction to screw the slats into the frame!Final note: the drawers are not as deep as I'd like. They are only about 1/3 as deep as the whole bed is wide. But ultimately, this can be accommodated elsewhere in the room with other shelves and such.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. The kiddo loves it too!

We bought this bed about two years ago and I waited to give a review so it would be more accurate. My grands is rough and tough little boy and the bed was made to hold up. It’s easy to put together and it’s sturdy. The drawers slide under the bed and are easy; although time consuming to put together. Anything made of that quality is going to take more time to assemble and heavier quality than most others. We plan on keeping this bed until he outgrows it. One note: we had problems finding the kind of mattress we wanted and ended up going to Big Lot and purchased a good mattress that was comfortable. The mattress lays directly on the wood and no type of springs. Pat the hundred bucks for the mattress and you will be happy you did or more importantly whoever is sleeping on it will thank you. I also made two slats and stained them and mounted them to the bed and drawers so they would be stationary and my wife likes it better that way. I think you will like this Captains Bed. This woz in amazing product with excellent value for the cost. I highly recommend anyone get this who is looking for quality furniture. I will say that many reviews claim it takes 4 to 5 hours to put this bed together, I did it in 2 by myself. If you have any experience putting together iIkea products, this is much easier.

Very sturdy bed. Perfect for my three year old. It’s not too tall. We have been able to snuggle together and read stories and it’s very supportive. Dresser and bed assembly were the easiest I’ve dealt with yet.

I ordered one of these beds for my grandson several months ago. It was so sturdy and well made that I went back and bought another for my grand daughter. The extra storage it provides with the drawers is just icing on the cake. They are wonderful beds.

We bought this bed with the intention to use as a dresser too but the drawers are too short for clothes to go in.. we thought okay, at least we can store his toys in there. Nope, too short for that too, and they fall out the sides because of how short they are. This bed was a big waste of money.
