I am so pleased with the comfort cross - it is lovely to look at and feels so good in my hand. Excellent quality of wood and craftsmanship.

This cross is a baptismal gift for a great-niece whose name is Olivia, so it was only fitting that she receive something very special for her christening. The olive wood from Bethlehem has a high gloss finish on the front and is left in its original finish on the back for all to see the variations of color in the wood from front to back. The figure of Jesus on the cross is the appropriate size for the piece, and the round stamps on front and back serve well to remind one that this piece not only honors our Savior, Jesus Christ, but also St. Benedict, whose life was dedicated to "the Rule", and to whom people pray for protection from evil. Although the cross itself is small, it carries great meaning, and the nail hole on the back of this glorious piece will allow anyone to place it in a special location in their home without being overwhelming. I like the fact that this can go from being a baptismal gift for a baby to a lifelong treasure that can be placed in the child's home when they become an adult. It's a very lovely piece, and is very well worth its price.

I still haven't had mine blessed yet, but it looks great and I am very pleased to have something in my house physically connecting me to the homeland of our Lord now, as well as spiritually.
