Garmin Nuvi 55LM 5" Touchscreen Car Sat Navigation GPS w/Lifetime Maps 0119-801 (Renewed)

I just got my Garmin today and used it in a little test run and it worked perfectly! Couldn't even tell it has been refurbished; it looked and works completely like new. Had no issues putting it on my car; and it was very easy and user friendly.

nice garmin device it's the second one i've ever owned. this gives you the double screen; it gives you the basic one screen of where you're driving but when you're about the make an exit on a highway for example it splits into two screens to show you a pic of which exit or lane (in a multiple lane) you need to be in in order to not get lost. this device was quite helpful for my trip from illinois to tennessee. i only made a wrong turn once during the night returning back home because (bad timing as things go) the garmin told me to turn at this particular time at night during some construction going on in indiana when a big ol semi truck happened to block my view of which exit i needed to go off! but i did a quick five minute turnaround with no problem! very nice product as always from garmin.

I like it a lot, does what I ask. Shows me off ramps, turning info, an speed of vichicle , plus speed limit. But it was stolen out of my truck.

I love this GPS! I travel from Utah to California often and I'm a single women who travels alone with my children. I get great piece of mind in knowing I'll never be lost especially while in a big city like LA or San Diego. It finds nearby resteraunts, shopping, and much more! It's easy to use right out of the box! I HIGHLY recommend this product!

I enjoy my Garmin Nuvi 55lm. I personally was buying Garmin navigators since they were $999.99. While the other unit was more durable, I don't need a football to throw around. This one is light weight and an easy carry. I wish it had the Live ability to update traffic every 2 minutes but, for the price point I will use this in conjunction with my phone's gps capabilities. I like the side pictures available when exiting because it makes knowing where to go more exact.

I purchased Nuvi 55LM 5 few years ago and I have been happy with the product. The Nuvi 55LM has speech that includes street name, and the screen includes speed limit of the road. As I was happy with the product, I purchased another Nuvi 55LM for my brother. However, the speech does not include the street name, e.g., speech says "turn right in 0.5 miles", instead of "turn right in Lake View street in 0.5 miles".I need to look up the street name from the screen to check with the street sign, which is dangerous while driving. The screen also does not look like Nuvi 55LM. My Nuvi 55LM shows both the speed limit and my current speed. The speed limit is very useful. So I was not happy with the current product, and return it. I will try to purchase Nuvi 55LM 5 again through Amazon, hopefully this time I will get the right Nuvi 55 LM.

It's screen online picture shows it larger that one would think, as my big hands had a hard time entering info. But the good is it takes up less front window. Then you have to be careful of just turning when it says to. You will see it say "turn left" when you are in the middle of the intersection ! Overall I'll say it is worth the money for a basic point "A" to point "B".

I travel a lot for work, and they won't pay for navigation rental. This one is awesome. It's big enough to see clearly, and the voice navigation is clear. I've even taken this to Hawaii on vacation. Works great.
