Alices Adv In Wonderland (Japanese Edition)

I love Alice's Adventures In Wonderland in general, and I'm also interested in learning Japanese. This book is perfect if you're learning to read Japanese because all of the kanji have furigana next to them (little hirigana that help you read the unfamiliar kanji). Reading baby books aren't that interesting, though anything helps when you're just learning. And some of the graded readers I've seen offered here are way too expensive. But, since I love Alice in Wonderland, it makes learning to read more engaging. There's also a series of books called the Mori world of literature for children. For ex. Mori 27 World Literature for children Dracula. This series of books also has furigana next to the kanji to help young (or, in my case, inexperienced) readers. I haven't been studying Japanese that long, but short textbook practice paragraphs aren't enough. This book is soft cover and has a few illustrations, but is not a manga, it's a book. I would recommend books like these to people learning Japanese who really want to practice reading, but just can't bring themselves to read stories "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears" for the 100th time. I just received this book today. The description says that this is written for 9-12 year olds, which I think is accurate. BUT, that makes it perfect for Japanese language learners.I have started to read it and want to share some of the reasons why I think this is a perfect first Japanese novel. Firstly, the story is written in a way that keeps it simple. It omits all the unnecessary descriptive words whilst still being able to paint a picture of the story in your head. That brings me to the second point: there are pictures every few pages that relate to what’s happing in the story. This will help you check your comprehension as you read and give you more context for what you don’t understand. There is also furigana, which is super helpful to have and gets you used to reading without the added pain of having to look up unknown kanji by picture or stroke order. Lastly, for everyone already familiar with Alice in wonderland (I assume most people buying) you already have the added context of knowing the story. This will make it more comprehensible and more fun for you to read; two very important factors in learning language.In conclusion, I am happy with my purchase. I would say this is suited for late-beginner/intermediate learners. But advanced learners may still enjoy the story just as much. If you are thinking of buying this you should go ahead, it is well worth the price.

ディズニーの映画からこの本にたどり着きました。初めは挿し絵無しも検討しましたが、絵がとてもかわいかったので思わずこちらにしました。話の内容は挿し絵と分かりやすい文章ですんなりと入ってきました。（事前に映画を見ておくと話の展開も予想できるのでなお分かりやすい）アリスの心情や行動も映画には語られなったところもあり、非常に楽しめました。（映画ははしおり過ぎで色々内容も混在している）トランプの女王も可愛く描かれており、「最低な女王」という映画での印象もかなり違います。意外と可愛いところもあったりして、にこにこ見ることが出来ます。小説後の訳者のあとがきも面白く、「ここをこういう風に工夫しました！」と言われたところ見てみると「確かにな～」と納得したりと物語も分かりやすくするための工夫や努力なども見ることが出来ます。今まで気づかなかっただじゃれや言葉遊びも見つけたりと、読み終わった後も楽しめたり、もう一度読み直そうと思わせてくれる作品だと思います。大人でも十分楽しむことができます。挿し絵も小学生向けだけあって、非常に多く初めてアリスを読む方にもわかりやすく表現されています。これ分かりにくいなと思った場面も次のページをめくれば挿し絵のおかげですぐに状況が理解ができます。小説苦手という方もきっと大丈夫だと思います。そして絵が可愛いため、飽きることもありません。子供でも大人でも楽しめる「ふしぎの国のアリス」として最高の一冊だと思います。

かがみの国のアリスと一緒に購入しました。白黒ですが、たくさんかわいいイラストが載っててよかったです。表紙のイラストがお好きな方なら、買って損はないと思います。５ページに１枚はイラストがあると思います。イラストは１ページ分のものもあれば、１ページの1/3ほどのものもあります。子供向けにしても、イラストが多めなので普段本を読まない人でも読みやすいかなと思いました。

この本の挿絵を描いているイラストレーターのokamaさんの絵や漫画が好きなので買ってしまったバカな大人ですとってもかわいいイラストがたくさんあるし読みやすい文章とふりがなで本を読むのが苦手な子にもおすすめできます

巻末にも書いてありますが、原文で韻を踏んでいた文章を、和訳でも韻を踏むように訳してくれているので自然に読めます。話が夢物語のように飛躍して、大人にとって不可解だなぁと思ってしまうかもしれません。童心にかえって読むのをお勧めします。挿絵が豊富で、okama氏の描くアリスはかわいいし、他の登場人物（動物）たちも個性的です。イラストがアリスの世界観をより広げてくれると思います。

小３の子供に買ってやるのに ふしぎの国のアリス (偕成社文庫 2063) とどちらが良いか悩みました。が、比べた結果、偕成社の方のが、字がはっきりして、行間も開いていて読みやすい事、やはり挿絵は昔からのものの方がいいかな、ということで子供に渡すのは偕成社さんのにしました。そちらの方で「面白い！」と言って、小３でもちゃんと読んでます。こちらも『小学中学年から』と書いてあるだけあってわかりやすい文章ではありましたが・・・注意して頂きたいのは、巻末に担当イラストレータさんの紹介とサイトアドレスが掲載されていますがそちらのサイトには小学生にはあまりよくない情報もあるので、小さな子供にこの本を与えるのはあまり好ましくはないと思います。（このシリーズの他の本にも、同様にあまり宜しくないものがあります）『小学中学年から』とうたうならば、出版社も、もう少し気を配って欲しいものです。もちろん、大人が読む分には、なんの問題もありませんけれどね。『子どものための本』なのか、『ラノベとかが大好きな世代に向けての本』なのか。きちんと考えて欲しいものです。（一応申し上げておきますと、私はどちらかと言えば“オタク”ですので、okamaさんの絵はよく存じてますし、好きでもあります。あくまで“小学中学年から”とするからには、という意味です。） ふしぎの国のアリス (偕成社文庫 2063)
