I am seeing a PT for headaches due to a strain in my lower trapezius. The strain in the lower trap causes the upper trap to spasm, creating headaches. I'd been telling him that sitting at my desk at work felt like it was fatiguing that lower trap, setting back the work we're doing by flaring it up-- that I needed support. He suggested kinesiology tape but I'm allergic to adhesive. I found a diagram online of how to wrap your trap with yoga straps (rhyme unintended!) as a makeshift brace-- he agreed with the wrap pattern, but said the material needed some give and flexibility. I found this posture brace that matched the same pattern of support, and showed it to him. PT approved! So I am to wear this when doing activities that make you slouch and aggravate the strain, like working on a laptop or hunched over your desk writing. So I've been wearing this around the house today, and WOW my headache and the tension in the upper trap is easing up. Need to let that lower trap calm down, to help our strengthening at PT and my home program. PT says don't wear a brace for longer than necessary, as prolonged support will weaken the muscle. But for added support when it's flared, this is working beautifully. The straps are firm but stretchy, and comes with added pads for the underarms so it doesn't rub. The middle section down the spine is a firm plastic, with foam inside for comfort. And it comes with an extender for the straps if needed. The pink color is a plus, as if I wear this under clothes it won't show. Great product!

This product does seem to work, and I have noticed that it corrects my posture. What I like about this one compared to other brands is that the piece that goes on your back to actually correct your posture is made of plastic and not fabric so it is much more supportive. However, what I don’t like is the way that this item is structured. The piece that goes across your waist/lower chest and your shoulders is one long strip. It is essentially a durable elastic band. The downside of this is that any time you tighten the piece across your waist, it also tightens the piece along your shoulders. There is no way to adjust how tight your shoulders are while not also adjusting how tight it is along your waist. Also, because this is essentially a thick plastic band, it starts to dig in to your armpits a lot more than the fabric ones do. The little padding does help a little bit but it’s still think it’s fairly uncomfortable faster than other posture correctors.

Just purchased this and I am very pleased! I suffer from arthritis in my back, have had 2 spinal fusions, now getting epidural shots, RFA (radio frequency ablasion) trigger point, etc. etc.....you name it, I'm sure some of you can relate. They have helped however over the past 2 years as things have progressively gotten worse, I now notice that I've been standing hunched over to compensate for the pain. So I thought I would give this a try now that shots have helped with the major pain and I can take standing up straight again. I put this on and OH MY GOODNESS!!!! How great to feel strong again, and if I also wear my velcro back brace, I really feel like I'm at least back in my 50's when I could work out and keep my core strong......as I'm now 65yo (yikes!) As it says, just leave it on for about 15 minutes and work up to it, but I think I had it on for 30 mins the first time, it just felt so good to be supported and straight up again. For the money, it's well worth a try. I only gave it 4 stars for comfort, because it is a little chaffing under the arms, even tho I use the extra pads, but hey!!!! I'll take it. Rather have a little chaffing than the misery of back pain all day long. Bottom line, I love it. Have it on right now working at my desk and it's very comfortable. As far as receipt time, I think I got it in about 4 days......very fast! You can't go wrong, try it if you're on the ropes! I'm glad I did!!!! DD

I will say it does help correct the issue the problem is the front of the Velcro is right there on your diaphragm and that is rough maybe if the straps were a little thicker it wouldn’t feel like someone was constantly poking you on your diaphragm I know you’re not supposed to wear it for long but it’s to the point where I even have trouble wearing it just walking the dog around the complex without wanting to vomit or get nauseous because of the pressure on the diaphragm but yes it does make you stand upright I do like that aspect

I researched a lot of posture correction devices before selecting this one, and I was wondering about the plastic panel that runs along the spine. What is the point of that? After having worn it for a half dozen days since I have gotten it (3-6 hours per day) I can tell you that it is key to re-education of the spine position. Pulling the shoulders back is one part, pressing the spine in (very gently) is the other half. I am so glad I got this, as I am 61 and can feel the collapse of age coming along and refuse to have any of that if I can help it, and this posture corrector is straightening me out without pain and very little discomfort. Great product!

I am shocked at how good this product works. I have noticed that I have been slouching a lot more recently since working from a laptop every day and also just the way I sit while watching TV or doing normal tasks, so I decided to try to do some thing about it. I wear this at least three times a week for 5 to 6 hours a day when I get home from work. I feel like it really works because my back feels like it’s been stretched out when I take it off. I hope my posture keeps improving. It’s pretty comfortable compared to two others I bought. I still wouldn’t say that you can do exercise with it because I feel like it would be bothersome under the armpits but it’s great just to wear around the house.
