I like that this product came with the display unit. It’s modern and very useful.

May air conditioning unit stopped working after a lightning strike close to where it was plugged. The fan would start but the compressor would not start. After troubleshooting and finding that the compressor was not bad, the dealership wanted to schedule a service visit weeks away and then wait for the Dometic guy to stop in and look at it. I decided to just replace the relay box and thermostat myself. It worked flawlessly after that. I do not like this digital system though. My AC unit always turns off when the power momentarily drops. I installed a second unit in the bedroom with a mechanical thermostat and it always comes back on when power is restored. I recommend this product if you think your relay board is bad. Always replace the thermostat with board.

My RV had been sitting for about 7 months, went to visit it to restock and check on things before our weekend get away and noticed E1 error code on the thermostat. Nothing worked, no heat, no fan, no A/C. Swapped out the control box that was behind the air filter from inside the RV in about 20 minutes and everything works as it should. Only thing I can assume is that there was a lightning strike near by that burned up some stuff. My Fridge lower control box was also hit and wouldn't come on, just a dreaded "check" light.

The old analog thermostat worked for over 20 years…..this lasted for 9 months. Easy to install, nice light up feature but it cools to temp, shuts off and will not restart until I manually shut off the system, wait for two minutes, then restart everything. It will then cool to set temp , shut off and then I have to repeat the entire process. We live in the rv part time as nurses who have had to deal with COVID isolation. It makes it difficult to get a good nights sleep.

My RV AC had an issue with the compressor kicking off before the set temperature had been reached, then restarting after about 30 seconds. This despite the freeze sensor being removed, tested, and located into various locations on the evaporator. I was not sure whether the problem was the relay box, or the thermostat, and it was an old analog style anyway, so replaced both with this kit. AC works properly now, no short cycling! The reason I give it four stars, and not five stars is it comes with minimal installation instructions. There are several YouTube on how to install it. Follow those and it is relatively easy.

This is the replacement box needed to update digital thermostat. You will need to be sure you have 12volt at thermostat. I just used 2 cat5 wires that were no longer needed as this will only use 3 to control box

Had an e1 code on the thermostat. Installed the new motherboard & it worked perfectly!
