Solid in all respects
This is a super popular kayak for a reason. Very stable but at 12.5 feet it also has some speed. Not too heavy but not light. The seat is amazing. All the equipment is good. The console is very handy. I also really like the large space behind the seat. Great for a good sized cooler. Pretty much can’t go wrong at the beginner or intermediate level!

This is how a kayak should be received!
This kayak arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. The packaging was intact, and upon removal of the heavy duty polyfilm and cardboard support it was perfect!

It's a great kayak
Update: It has been over a year with the kayak Still in fantastic shape and has several kayak trips and road trips. Still love it.First of all the delivery: the company contacted me early the day of delivery and verified everything. They delivered on time, no issues. The outer wrapping was torn up over about half the kayak but the only damage to the kayak was a few scuffs, much less than what it gets when being loaded on my truck.More critically, the kayak: The kayak is great. I am not a small guy (6' 4", about 260 pounds) with a 34-inch inseam. The kayak fits me with no problems, in fact this is the first kayak I have ever used where I don't have the footrests extended to the max location. I actually had to pull them in about two inches from max. The kayak is extremely stable and tracks in a straight line with no tendency to curve when I stop paddling. The wind picked up while I was trying it out and it handled well, both heading into the wind and with the wind, showing no tendency to spin. Due to the river and wind directions, I did not really see how it handled a side breeze but I expect it to be similar. The kayak paddles very easily given its size. I expected more resistance paddling but it was little different from my old 9 1/2 ft kayak.Overall I really enjoyed the kayak. I will try to post additional comments and photos once I have several more trips completed.

Best kayak in it’s price range!
We were looking at several different kayaks to purchase when we came across the Pungo 120 and 125. They had excellent reviews so we thought we would give them a shot. We had read several reviews where they arrived damaged, but this was not our experience. We ordered the 120 for my wife and the 125 for myself and both showed up in perfect condition. We took them out one evening just before sunset and wow what a difference from our old dolphin kayaks. These guys being 12 foot track better and are much faster on the water than our old 10 footers. The adjustable seat and cockpit make it stand out from the rest. They also have a rear bulkhead with dry storage that a lot of others don’t have. We could not be happier with our decision to purchase the Pungo.

Botton buckled
This kayak came highly recommended by friends and a local store so we bought one. It was a dark rainy night when it was delivered. I unwrapped the top and it looked great. About 2 weeks later I flipped it over and found the bottom was buckled and it did go back into shape when I pushed it out.I called Amazon and they were great and arranged for the pick-up and return. I am really disappointed in Wilderness Systems though. I expect more from them.Jim

Check it out in person before you buy.
I was sold on the idea of the adjustability of the seat. It's not as comfortable as I had hoped for. Still a great kayak. The console that comes with it is great because you can add things to it. It is somewhat difficult to remove, which in my mind is a good thing, you don't have to worry about it falling off. The dry well in the back is great, I can haul a good amount of gear in it and anything else I can strap to the front. This thing moves through the water great. The adjustable foot rests work fantastic. The only reason it's getting a 4 out of 5 is the seat. I typically am out for a long time when i go on my kayak. Over a long period of time on the water it just wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped. I would recommend heading to your local sporting goods store and sitting in one yourself before you spend the money.
