Cen-Tec Systems 99867 Silver Vacuum Hose Kit, 50-Feet

Initial quality seems good. Quality hose. Front stem has decently thick metal and cuff piece seems durable. The front also has a rotating piece that's a nice touch. 50 ft is long but exactly what I need for the garage and the price is attractive. I bought a vacuum hose hanger to hang it up on and it is a nice system. Just go shopping for a good vacuum accessories kit and you are good to go.

This product replaced my 20 year old original hose that had too many broken pieces to it. The new hose worked great and fit fine! After 2 uses, the hose disconnected from the handle and after reading other comments, I emailed the company to ask if there was a fix for it or if I needed to return it. They literally emailed me back immediately to tell me that the hose is reverse-threaded, so I needed to turn it in the opposite direction to re-attached the hose. Worked like a charm!

The hose is as advertised. It does the job with my 1967 built central vacuum system.Two minor drawbacks:1. The hose is not terribly heavy duty. If you step on it, it will crush. It springs back into shape pretty well, but my other vacuum hose does not crush if I accidentally step on it. And trust me, sooner or later you step on it.2. There's a little vent widget on the handle end that allows you to modulate the amount of suction that actually reaches the business end of the vacuum. This thing constantly creeps open while I am vacuuming, thus reducing the amount of suction. I have to stop what I am doing and close it off again. I cannot for the life of me imagine why you would ever want to reduce suction on a vacuum device, so I am thinking I will probably epoxy it into the closed position.

I bought mine in like-new condition and saved about $16. The hose was wrapped in plastic and in perfect condition. The shipping box was non-descript, which was fine with me. The hose is really nice and the 50' length is great, reaching out to my driveway to vacuum cars. Definitely a good value!

I was very excited to see a product that had decent reviews that would arrive during all the lockdowns. I was, however, not excited that it broke the second time I used it. The hose came lose from the connector. I have tried to fix it to no avail. I was very disappointed and wished I wouldn’t have tried to get a value product. I hope it was a fluke, because it did seem that others had good experiences with the product.

This is a vacuum hose built to a price. It works, but dont expect some solid thing you can step on and not crush it like an older or more expensive brand.There are three parts: The connector for the source, the connector for the attachments that you hold, and the hose.1) The hose: Wery much like a typical hose for a shop-vac. Just plastic, with no wire molded into it for rigidity. If you step on it, it will crush. If you use it carefully however the light weight can be an advantage for moving it around.2) The connector to the house: This threads on to the hose and doesn't stay threaded well at all. You may want to add some silicon sealer or some such. The male end was a little small for my house system but I wrapped it in a few turns of tape to seal it.3) The attachment end: This threads on to the hose as well, but unlike the house end, this only threads on to a couple of turns of the hose and comes loose easily. This part of this product is truly sub-standard and I am disappointed. More threading would allow a better connection. The rest of the handle is fine; there is a suction adjusting valve for cleaning drapes and such, and there is a swivel for the hose which is a very nice feature and at least for now leaks very little vacuum. The metal tube is for accessories that fit by compression. It does not have one of those depressing-ball type locks built in so if you need that this is not for you.Overall I will go ahead and use this but if I had a chance to physically see it first, I would have spent more money to get a higher quality hose. If you value low price most of all or need a hose with light weight this deserves a look.

When it arrived the packing slip stated itwas a gray hose(that's what I ordered) but whenI open the box it was orange. Same hose just the wrong color. I was fine with it but found the price was cheaper for the orange.It was so easy to correct with Amazon. They gave me the difference back with no questions asked...I even offered to send photos for proof...Thank you Amazon it is rare to find such speedy and friendly service !!!!That being said Great hose...Looking for the inside to be smooth to reduce things getting clogged !!!!What can you really say ??? It's a Vacuum hose LOL !!!!

On the 2nd or 3rd time using it the vinyl hose pulled away from the hard plastic coupling. Now I've got it duct taped together. Still works but kind of lousy design.

Used as a vacuum extender, don’t have to drag a big vaccum around.

It did not fit my vacume, but was easy to adapt the coupling and does what i wanted (allows the machine to be several rooms away so the noise does not upset my pets.
