This is such a sweet thing to do with my son. The prompts create really thoughtful moments and open up conversations we might not always have otherwise. It’s been a special way to connect, reflect, and spend intentional time together. I love that it feels meaningful without being overwhelming. We’ve both enjoyed it, and I know it’s something we’ll look back on and cherish. Highly recommend for any mom wanting a deeper connection with her son.

If you’re feeling disconnected with your ur preteen, I HIGHLY recommend this!! My son (11) and I (30) ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! I bought this book because I felt disconnected with my son and felt that I needed something that will give us something to talk about and discuss. This book is PERFECT! We are on page 23 now and we both take our turns and then we sit down together and discuss our answers and why we put them down. His dad overheard us talking about our answers and now I will be getting the father and son book too! I want to add that I accidentally bought two different “between you and me” journals and this one is WAY better and more interesting and fun!

This has some good questions in it to help get to know each other and build stronger bonds. It gives plenty of room for answers.

I bought two different mother/son books for both my boys and honestly they sat there for a while... But one day I picked them up and started filling out the "mom" part and my son got into it and wanted to start his part too (he's 8) I loved writing my feelings about him and he loved the part where he got to draw his pictures. We are still working on it, it can take a while for each of us to complete a few pages, but overall we both are loving doing this together.

My 10 yrs old son can't stop hurrying me along to catch up with him when volleying this wonderful book between us. It is just endearing to the umpth degree - the bonding it encourages & the love between us as humans not just mom & son is just fascinating to me! Truly a gem, buy this for you and your sons, mom... Not for a special occasion, but just because it's a random Tuesday - this priceless gift will be forever cherished.

This has been such a fun little bonding activity to do with my 6 year old son. We have fun passing it back and forth and learning so much about each other. Its very well made, the prompts are perfect for all reading/writing age kids. It's a lot of fun and it's definitely brought us a lot closer. Definitely recommend!

This journal is such a cute and thoughtful idea. It turns into a fun and meaningful experience, passing it back and forth between mother and son as you each complete the activities. By the end, you're left with a book full of memories that feel truly priceless. It’s a win-win-win in every way. The cover has a nice matte finish, and the design is fun, though both the cover and paper are on the thinner side. I'd recommend avoiding pens that bleed, since it could ruin the next page. Most of the prompts are written responses with creative, thoughtful questions that go beyond everyday conversation but yield such cool facts about each other. Some activities include drawing (which is even more fun if you're both bad at it), while others are checklists or multiple choice options that reveal surprising little details. With 148 pages of back-and-forth, this book is both entertaining and meaningful. I’d recommend it to any mother-son pair, no matter the age. In fact, it would be lovely to do it once when your child is young and again when they’re an adult, just to see how much you've both changed.

Brought this book to bond more with my youngest and to capture those early memories and thoughts. He loves the fact we can write or draw in when we choose to (as little or how much writing) brings a smile to his face reading my likes and dislikes and it’s working for us as I intended. I tend to write some of my things and just put it back without telling him or visa versa and then enjoying when we have discovered it and looking at it together. Slightly annoying it’s referring to ‘mom’ rather than mum but we both accept it’s Americanised but doesn’t detract from what’s on the pages for us. Enjoying going back to reading over our answers, I would recommend this book.

This was a super great gift for my son and I. He enjoys looking back at some of it even now. Iam looking forward to giving this back to him when he has children. Great idea to get him to think about relationships and how one another likes and dislikes are similar
