Braun ThermoScan 6 Ear thermometer | #1 Brand among doctors1

Very easy to use. I like the colour-coding which makes it really clear to tell if there is something wrong. It is about the size of my hand so very portable & easily stored. The screen is a good size and the numbers are large. Braun is a reliable brand that produces good quality products, this is definitely good quality & should last a while. In terms of accuracy it is the same as my infrared thermometer so accuracy is spot on.

I've been using one of these for the past five years in my primary care role. It is in heavy use, being used every working day several times per day. It's hard to really find any fault with this thermometer at all. In the five years that I've been using it, it has been totally reliable and remained accurate. It takes x2 AA batteries, and battery life is very good indeed. I cannot remember when I last had to change the batteries. It has fallen on the floor a few times (fairly inevitable with the level of use). When it hits the floor, the plastic battery cover will fly off and the batteries fall out, but the plastic retaining clip on the battery cover has never broken, and it all clips back together as it should and continues to work. Full marks for build quality and robustness. Accuracy is good, and I'm happy that it is giving correct readings. I recommend pulling back gently on the earlobe to ensure that the probe sits properly into the ear canal. The disposable plastic covers for the probe keep everything clean and hygienic. You have to hold down the green button on top for 2-3 seconds, and then your readout appears clearly on the screen. Little else I can say about such a straightforward, device. In short it has been 100% accurate and reliable, with good battery life, and is quite a tough little thing too, surviving 5 years of daily use with flying colours!

This is worth the money that you have to pay for it. It is accurate and that is what you need. Not one that might get it correct once in a while. You can choose the colour either black or white. (I think). You have to pay for a case, this is worth the while as it holds your thermometer and one packet of probe covers. When you purchase the Braun Thermometer it comes with a free packet of probe covers. Then you have to buy your own. There are many on the market so you can choose one that suits your pocket. You may think that this is too expensive. But I had to buy a Thermometer that was trustworthy and accurate. I suffer from various Autoimmune diseases and my GP asked me to keep essential equipment in the house. So if I become unwell I can take my temperature and give that along with other necessary readings. Then my GP can decide whether I require to be Hospitalised. So I need a very good thermometer that performs very well. I would highly recommend this Braun Thermometer.

This thermometer was really good and easy to use for both my sick mother and baby. Unfortunately it's given up working after just a year and a half which is disappointing considering how expensive it is.

Absolutely brilliant. Easy to use, batteries last forever and gives consistent readings.

I went for Thermoscan 6 because I don't have little children and got tired of having to select the specific age group in Thermoscan 7. Just one button press instead of two.

Works well and batteries last a long time Nothing worse than when you want to use the thermometer you find the batteries are flat. This DOES NOT occur here!

Great quality and easy to use. Don't buy the original caps but get 3rd party which are a lot cheaper and just as great or just use a cap for a long time as I do

Hatte bereits im Krankenhaus positive Erfahrung mit Thermometern von Braun gemacht und mich deswegen auch zu Hause für ein Gerät von ihnen entschieden. Im Vorfeld hatte ich bereits 2 günstigere Thermometer ausprobiert und wurde dort mit Genauigkeit und Geschwindigkeit doch sehr enttäuscht. Das Thermometer von Braun ist vom Preis etwas höher angesetzt, doch meiner Meinung nach ist das eine sehr lohnende Investion, denn immerhin geht es um die Erfassung der eigenen Gesundheit. 500 Kappen bekommt man aktuell für den Preis von 19€, was einen Preis von 4 Cent macht und auch da vollkommen in Ordnung ist, immerhin ist der jährliche Bedarf meist überschaulich. So viel zum Preis. Das Thermometer ist leicht zur Anwendung. Bei der korrekten Anwendung erhält man ein Ergebnis meist nach 1-2 Sekunden, die gemessenen Temperaturen sind im Vergleich zu ärztlichen Geräten im sehr guten Vergleich, die professionelle Genauigkeit kann ich nur bestätigen. Die Kappen lassen sich leicht drauf setzen und hygienisch mit einem Klick entfernen, ohne ein berühren nötig zu machen. Die Schutzkappe des Sensors lässt sich ebenfalls leicht drauf machen und entfernen. Der Display ist leicht zu lesen, das leuchten nicht zu intensiv. Für den Vergleich wird auch die letzte Temperatur beim Start angezeigt, was gerade bei häufigen Messungen eine angenehme Hilfe ist. Das Thermometer half mir in der kurzen Zeit bereits super während einer Lebensmittelvergiftung und späteren Corona Erkrankung aus. Das einzige was ich bereue ist vorher in günstige Geräte investiert zu haben. Wer ein sehr gutes Thermometer auf dem Niveau eines professionellen Geräts haben möchte macht hier alles richtig.

Para tomarle la temperatura a mi criatura lo pasaba fatal, el termómetro tarda mucho, uno de frente y de oído no da ña temperatura real, y este se lo vimos a un médico y no dudamos en comprarlo Es caro, pero es rápido y eficaz, tarda 3 segundos en tomar la temperatura del oído y es realmente certero. Si tienes un bebé, no te lo pienses, 100% recomendable. Un súper acierto.

J'utilisais déjà le précédent modèle depuis plus d'une dizaine d'année, c'est un thermomètre vraiment pratique. Ce nouveau modèle l'est d'autant plus qu'il a un code couleur qui s'affiche lors de la prise de température. Il est ergonomique, facile à utiliser et précis. Par contre, dommage à défaut de la boite de transport, il a juste un embout rigide de protection, cela laisse le bouton marche/arrêt sans protection. A noter que selon les conduits auditifs des enfants cela peut ne pas forcément être pratique (j'avais des prématurés et l'embout de lecture était un peu trop gros pour un de mes enfants ce qui rendait la lecture plus compliquée). Après cela reste ponctuel puisque les enfants grandissent et les conduits auditifs aussi. C'est un produit que je recommande.
