This tablet is snappy, responsive and has a premium feeling build. Apps are easy to get hold of, and the screen is nice and bright.

Quality tablet, well build all round. You can see the company is actually made an effort to design it. Totally let down by the lack of Google shop. But it took me about 10 mins to search how to install all the apps I want, eg Kindle, bank app....

The only things I didn't like about this device was my apps weren't easy to get and figuring out the external memory-here's some set up tips as for the price the quality and spec is well worth the effort....So Huawei doesn't support certain apps meaning if you go into their app store you will find apps like prime video, Netflix and Disney + are not available (this doesn't mean you can't access via the website site but who wants to do that). To fix this download the clone phone Huawei app to your mobile (any brand) and it should be pre installed on the tablet. Make sure you have all the apps on your phone which you want on your tablet then begin the transfer. This is super easy and as you can see from the photo I have all the apps on my tablet! Hooray!Now next inconvenience... External memory.. It is definitely extendedable as I have inserted a 235gb card into mine but you may notice unless you follow these steps the tablet doesn't look like it recognises the extra memory.Step 1-insert memory cardStepn2-go into settingsStep 3-storageStep 4-you will see a roos the top in storage an option for internal memory and memory card,click memory cardStep 5-scroll down to 'default location' and set this to memory card.This now means all your photos, videos, films and apps will store to the memory card and not the 32gb internal memory. For best results do this first before clone phone for your apps so all your photo, music app etc (if you want em) will be stored to the card leaving the internal memory for maybe Netflix downloads etc.Hope this was helpful and saves you time. Don't be put off by the leg work, for the price this tablet is unbeatable!

as a hardware it is great. The OS however is not useful. As there is no google play installed there are a lot of missing applications. There are a lot of options in the internet how to install google play, however do you really want to go there? Most of the web pages that offering solutions are overloaded with advs. You may try to install something and then security warnings arise both on your tablet and your google account. Would you trust this tablet for sensitive apps?

Very happy with this purchase. I hope to get the google service back next year! Cashback from Huwawi taking very long. Still waiting for this to be paid. almost 4 weeks passed and waiting.

This review is for the matepad 10.4Really a mixed bag. The tablet itself is great quality for the price. Decent performance.I can't really fault the hardware itself for the price.But, this is a BIG, BUT.The lack of Google software makes the tablet highly unusable, if your like me and thought, oh I will load them like I have many pervious tablets. Think again, there is currently no way to load Google services onto the tablet at the time of writing this. I have tried many many methods with no luck at all.You will be surprised how many games and apps require the Google services. It's not just the store itself. Most games require the game services in the background which this tablet doesn't have. Due to no Google maps and background services, you can't play games such as pokemon go or Harry Potter. You can't play Csr2.I Appriciate there are some alternative apps if you wants a form of maps or mail. But they aren't as good and don't have the connectivity with other apps like the Google versions.I find it hard to understand what audience this tablet is aimed at. I can't give it to my kids due to being unable to play some of the biggest games on it.I can't use many apps for work due to lack of Google services.Such a shame, as the hardware and build quality is very good. Personally I want to return it and buy an alternative. Happy to take a performance drop if I can access the the things that most people expect to have access to on an android tablet.
