Reliable & cools laptop nicely
I went on a shopping rampage & bought 5 different laptop cooling fans, all differently priced. I tried the ones that are flat with circle fans built in…those hardly cooled my laptop, even on the highest setting. I tried ones that were $60+ (which I loved) but they were so noisy, no one could hear me on my work calls. Not every one had an elevated option. Most importantly, the wire that plugged from the laptop to the fan had to be in a position that made sense. I would see a decent laptop fan, but you’d have to plug it dead center in the back, where my laptop USB ports were on the side. Then you had this ugly wire hanging out. Or worse sometimes the cheaper options have a usb plug with a sharp edge that you could accidentally cut your hand on if you grazed it without looking. Some laptop fans were a weird size that weren’t rectangular, like the laptop. Most of them were much bigger than the laptop, making it a bulky eye sore on my small desk. This laptop fan checked all the boxes for me. The fan has a opened section for all the cool air to hit the laptop underside in a stronger way & I can leave it plugged in all day when I need to. I can have the fan at its highest setting without people telling me they can’t hear me talk. It has an elevated option to raise the laptop should I need it. The fan plugs in on the right, my laptop USB ports are also on the right: perfect, no ugly long wrap around wire…I can keep the wire folded & short. And the laptop size fits my 14” laptop nicely, not too big to be an eye sore & it has stoppers on the front so the laptop doesn’t slide off. (I’ve only had to use them once & they worked liked like a charm.) For me, this was the best priced deal.

Best laptop cooler EVER made! No questions! Buy this over ANY SIMILAR SIZE/TYPE! BEST!
10/10 (unless it breaks on me after some more use)And be SURE to read the HILARIOUS documentation they send in a little black envelope, it is hilarious and I give them an A+ for effort and an A for being funny regardless of where!I have tried SEVERAL laptop cooling pads at this point, and all of the others use "Axial" fans - aka "normal" fans which have blades like those you see on most home fans. This is a design flaw in several ways, but namely that the air lacks any velocity with which to enter the laptop, but also Axial designs recirculate the same hot air several times - sure they DO WORK - but my point is they will NEVER work as well as a high pressure fan with "Centrifugal" blades - similar in design to what is already in a laptop, but stretched out to the max and with MUCH thicker fan fins!It is a horizontal placed centrifugal fan, which is VERY long and even on minimum moves more air than many other laptop cooling pads, and it is totally noiseless at that point, Max speed is BARELY audible if your Laptop's fans are not making any noise - because laptop fans will drown that out easily and quickly under any heavy gaming type load - yanno, use headphones if ya want to game on a laptop. But even on max this AMAZING cooler is barely audible in a silent room! Also the design is straight up amazing! It is PERFECT for using in the lap, or using on a desk and there are even feet for more tilt for desk use. And back to the cooling part of the build quality: it has a cutout underneath ALL of the hottest parts on most laptops - and that fan blows directly into it and up onto the laptop placed on it, if you move the laptop while the fan is on you will feel a breeze on your face instead of the vent hole under the pad. The fan even blow fresh air upwards a little bit where my fans intake even!As for that vent hole, one reviewer COMPLAINED that the vent hole "just let all the air out without cooling (his) laptop!" I mean LMFAO do you even know BASIC thermodynamics/aerodynamics m8, I mean I am not asking for any sort of study or degree, but dang that was the dumbest thing I have read in a while!Because by THAT MEASURE - your laptop's fans do nothing when you can feel air blowing out of them! How This pad works is that is sucks in fresh cool air at the rear, and then blows it onto the hottest parts of your laptop's bottom, including where most 15.6" gaming notebooks have their air intakes - and blows it with a decent amount of velocity and pressure across those areas, as the VOLUME OF AIR MOVED IS FAR GREATER THAN ANY LAPTOP COULD USE - it has a vent hole on the bottom, where it not only gives you a little bit of a personal fan (right in the junk area if it is in your lap :D I love that), but it also allows for TRAPPED HEAT TO BE EXHAUSTED!(Caps are for the idiot who said cooler does not work becuz air comes out tha bottum!)Because yeah, even if it barely is moving air, the fans will never suck up all of it, and the components heat up the bottom of MOST gaming laptops! My MSI GS63VR 6RF - which will heat up even a perforated hard flat metal surface a good deal, even when just browsing! - bro has a Cooler Master pad with broken fans ( i7-6700HQ + GTX 1060 6 GB) Some more modern Gaming Laptop designs that are not AS obsessed with thinness (but are still equally as easy to pack into any bag or pack!) - like my bro's MSI GL65 Leopard which has a totally mesh bottom for best possible ventilation - and even THAT machine, which even under full gaming load in Control with RTX maxed, on his broken Cooler Master Pad which is now just a perforated metal surface, it never even WARMS it up AT ALL! - Even still, that laptop on my Klim Airflow Plus - in the EXACT same session of Control with same settings - I reloaded the save, his GPU dropped by 6.5 Degrees Celsius, and his CPU managed an average of an extra ~200 MHZ boost on all cores! (Oddly on that machine - the MSI GL65 Leopard with its RTX 2070 which stays nice and cool even OCed, and its i7-10750H - that thing almost ALWAYS pegs to 90+ C when gaming - but it still manages an average all core turbo speed between 3.8 GHZ and 4.15 GHZ - meanwhile the GPU stays COOL! I Overclocked the VRAM and the core, I got an extra 200 MHZ boost out of the core, and brought the VRAM to 12.8 Gbps from just 11 Gbps - which is to say from 352 GB/sec bandwidth all the way to 408 GB/sec)Anyway that machine ran the GPU cooler by as much as 8 deg Celsius AND FASTER (core Boost went up about 150 MHZ average when using Klim Airflow Plus laptop pad and cooler), while the CPU ran faster by about 200 MHZ average - and that is a laptop design that does well on a hard flat surface of any kind!On his old, and now my, MSI GS63VR 6RF Stealth, the Klim Airflow Plus lowers CPU load temps by over 15 C compared to a hard, flat - non-ventilated surface, and GPU temps by about 13 C! What;s more important is that without this, or any ventilated surface to put my GS63VR on, my GPU went from a ~1680 MHZ average boost, now with an overclock all the way to ~1960 MHZ core, and I have the VRAM at 8.6 Gbps for 204 GB/sec bandwidth over 192! - ALL WHILE MY LAPTOP RUNS ITS GPU 12 C COOLER!So yeah, on 2 different laptops it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE! Even on a laptop with GOOD ventilation it made a BIG difference, but on what is now my laptop which has TERRIBLE ventilation clearance without any aides, and has comparatively restrictive intake vents (compared to the GL65 of this year) - IT MAKES A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE!If you have ANY LAPTOP that is limited in some way due to heat - and you are looking for a cooler LOOK NO FARTHER!! THIS IS THE BEST DESIGN I HAVE EVER TRIED! BY FAR MOST EFFECTIVE!Thank you Klim for the quality (so far) of the Airflow Plus pad I have received, and thank you for the laugh I had reading your little note! You guys rock!

Best 2in1 lap PP cooler/laptop cooler I've had yet
Ok I just want to make sure to state I don't have anything negative against this Klim crossflow cooler it's good it works and it's different from the standard market of coolers.I tried to mod the cooler all sorts of ways i took it apart a dozen times and I can say it won't be any better than what it is as stock.I've used 3 types of laptop coolers beforehand one with a big fan in the center not great one with 4 fans it's better and now this Klim crossflow fan it's not perfect but it's the best I've used so far.One thing for sure it's an air mover it moves a lot of air but it is not an air pusher as in little pressure from the fan if any so when I tried to mod it by blocking the hole in front the one for the on lap PP cooling effect thinking it would push the air up to the laptop and force more air into it I was wrong and it won't push force more air into the laptop.Testing temps with the different mods I made showed that stock was the most effective at keeping the laptop it's coolest and it works it helps I get about 10c less with the cooler and I like it for what it is.The laptop is a gaming laptop that has vents on sides and back. Temps are not negatively effected by how the cooler gets it's air as it moves soo much air at a fast rate.I think i might try and do a diy cooler at some point and use Arctic fans optimized for high static pressure unless a cooling pad company comes out with a cooler with that style of fan that actually works to push force air and help the poor laptop internal fans move more air through it.Also to Klim why no RGB bling on the cooler? it seems to be all the rage and everyone knows RGB equals moar fps in games and even moar cooler temps. JK. But bling is nice. Maybe in a Klim V2!
