Great little nets
These nets look a bit flimsy compared to my other small-hole nets but they are lasting well. To be fair, these are the first small-hole nets that have genuinely slowed down the rate at which my mare inhales her hay. I have twi and will get more. They fit a genuine 3.5kg hay and you can squeeze a little more in too.

Good quality and effective at slowing down eating
These are good quality haynets and seem to be very durable and stand up to regular soaking. I’ve bought a number of these for my mini Shetlands to slow down their eating when stabled and highly recommend.

Quality
I bought 2 of these for my horses that are on a track. I needed small holes and small nets so I can spread the nets around the track so they have to walk a long way to get them. I am happy with the size of the holes and the size of the nets but the quality is not so good. The net is coming away from the tie string, I have only had them since July 31st. I have hay nets that have lasted years. Wouldn't recommend.

Looks different shape to the one on the listing but is ok
I had expected this net to be a different shape to a normal hay net but that’s not the case. It’s a standard type net with a reasonably small hole. It has a nice long cord which is threaded through the net itself, not through metal rings. I’ve filled it with 3kg of hay in the photo. It would hold a bit more than that but not much. The netting isn’t too thick so I’ll be interested to see how long it takes my greedy pony to chew through it.

Haynets
Had two days she managed to chew a hole through them thought they may have lasted a bit longer 😂😂😂😂

Does the trick
Does the trick - slows down the greedy donkey's hay consumption!

different sizes of Haynets and different sizes of holes...
I have ordered and got 4 of those haynets in two orders. First two haynets were are described here: Greedy feeder capacity 3.g kg and 2.5cm holes (inch). So I made the second order...unfortunately the haynets (second order) are larger (~5kg capacity) and most importantly the holes are much larger 1.5 inch (3.8cm !!!) . The labels attached are still indicating 3.5kg/1inch hole ...I am very disappointed as now I have to double net the haynets with those larger holes - extra work that is not necessary. I always respected Shires product but this is second time when I have issues with the quality control of Shires products.

Greedy feeder haynet
I have 2 miniature horses and this is the second purchase I have made of the 'greedy feeder haynet'. The first 2 have held up well. I have been using them for about10 months. They have gotten a little stretched but still work well. I ordered 2 more just so I have them on hand to fill if the weather is inclement. Will definitely purchase again.

Perfect size holes for my compulsive eater
I am very happy with the smaller openings. Lightweight, seems sturdy so far, and is the perfect size for one flake of hay that I feed every 3 hours after soaking to keep my mare occupied. She is recovering from laminitis. and unable to go out on pasture. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because it is hard to fill. The top opening is not wide enough to fit over a tub to fill. It is very difficult to keep the hay bag open with one hand, and and fill it at the same time with the other hand.

Fantastic slow feed net!
Love this! It holds approximately a half bale, which means that I only have to refill it every few days for my mini horse. It also allows me to give her free access to hay, because she can't overeat when she has to work at getting her hay out. I will probably be buying another one before too long so that I have one for her paddock outside and one for in the house (she's a service horse, so she mainly lives in the house with me).

Inconsistent overall size of the bags and inconsistent quality.
I ordered 4 of these bags - 2 at a time, 2 orders total. All the bags are different sizes - there is no consistency, and the quality of them varies as well. A local feed store carries the small hay nets also, but I figured "you get what you pay for", so ordered these for considerably more $$. They work for my miniature horses, but disappointed at the consistency and quality. Will purchase the cheaper brand from the feed store when these need to be replaced. You can see by the picture that there is a HUGE size and quality difference between the two bags - both were ordered at the same time, same shipment. Would not recommend.

Vet said great find!
Because of my horse's sensitivity to sugar, my vet asked me to double hay net feeders to dramatically slow her eating. What a pain! So happy I don't have to double hay nets any more now that I have a greedy feeder net which has holes about half the typical size.
