I bought these as a gift for my granddaughters birthday. And they are more beautiful than I expected them to be, she loves them. And she said she doesn’t have to worry about them falling out because they have screw on backs.

They really are great earrings! The only caveat is that the posts do bend a little easily. Still a wonderful gift for the price.

These opal earrings are lovely! They're a nice size, and the opals are fiery enough to make the earrings stand out on my ears. They are 14K gold, and I wear them 24/7 without any irritation to my sensitive ears. The backs are mostly plastic around a tiny back of 14K gold. I was disappointed when I saw that in the listing, even though no one but me would know the backs are mostly plastic. However, now that I've been wearing these earrings for a while--they are my favorite pair! My hair doesn't get caught in the backs and pull on the earrings like it does with regular backs.The earrings come in a nice box, but not a proper jewelry presentation box. So, between the mostly-plastic backs and the box, if your concern is a gift that looks like you spent a million bucks when opened, these may not be the earrings to buy. However, if you want the recipient to adore the earrings and wear them all the time, these are great earrings to buy!
