Coveted: Art and Innovation in High Jewelry

I bought this book blind as I wasn't able to check it out from my local library first. I am very happy I did so as it has opened my eyes to many new jewelers / designers that I did not know about. The photographs are clear and large enough to see each prong of the settings, each facet junction on the gems, and any polish lines. I also read it cover to cover and think that the writers have presented their opinions and ideas very well about each jeweler that was included in this book. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves jewelry and wants more than just a photographic eye candy to drool over. I already have a very large collection of jewelry books, how many more do I need? This is one that I am very happy to add to my library of Jewelry and Gemological books as it has new information and beautiful jewelry photos to desire.

This is a fantastic book filled with utterly inspiring work from jewellers across the globe. It is extremely original and beautifully written- split into themed chapters which question whether jewellery is art and explore jewellery in its most conceptual form. I would highly recommend this to any lover of jewellery, art or design.
