Fantastic Drone — So Good I’ve Got a Pending Order for Another One
This drone genuinely surprised me with how good it is for the price. The flight stability is excellent, the controls feel smooth and intuitive, and the camera quality punches way above its weight. Even with light wind, it holds its position really well and gives you clean, steady footage every time. Setup is quick, battery life is a solid 30-40 minutes, depending on wind speed and the build quality feels sturdy without being heavy. I had a small mishap and it still flew perfectly fine, which says a lot about how well this model is put together, even though one plastic landing leg broke off. Honestly, I like this drone so much that I have a pending order for another one as soon as it comes back in stock. I’d rather wait than spend an extra $1,000 for the enterprise version, because this model already does everything I need — and does it well. If it becomes available again, I highly recommend it. Great value if you have extra money, great performance, and a ton of fun to fly after getting your license.

You Get What You Pay For... And Then Some.
After going thru a couple of "lesser" drones ($600 range), I quickly learned that I needed to spend some real money to get the right drone. The Autel Evo 2 Pro was the end result. My main focus in the use of the Autel Evo 2 Pro 6K was for aerial photography. Specifically, Real Estate photography. I did quite a bit of research and came to the conclusion that the Pro version was the one I needed. I looked at the Evo 2 8K, the DJI Mavic Air 2, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro, and DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. All were very good drones in their own right, but it really came down to the amount of light needed for photography in the Pacific Northwest. The 1" CMOS Sensor does exactly that. The video to the left is a compilation of several short videos taken at a real estate shoot. The camera adjusted well to the lighting, no matter which way the Autel Evo 2 Pro 6K was pointing. ~ I love the way you can adjust the sensitivity of the gimbal movement. I found with the other drones that it was very difficult to make small adjustments without the gimbal moving too quickly and looking amateurish. I set the gimbal on the Autel Evo 2 Pro to 20% to create a slow moving gimbal as I raise or lower it to my mark. Plus, you can switch to Dual Stability mode, which not only stabilizes the camera, but also the performance of the drone itself. It really dampens the movement of the camera and drone so you get nice smooth imaging. I recently produced a short video using the Autel Evo 2 Pro. Here's the link: https://rumble.com/vhviwp-cooper-creek-production.html. It's a great example of what you can do with only a few hours of practice. I had under 10 hours of drone experience at the time the Cooper Creek video was taken This video was taken without the Dual Stability mode on. It just shows you how smooth it can be by just adjusting the movement settings. ~ I have yet to play with all of the App features, but got the chance to try out the Dynamic Tracking and Smart Orbit. The video orbit works flawlessly. You can adjust the orbit up to 22 mph (as shown in the short video). It's very handy if you are doing a wide orbit. The only note here is that you have to have an easily identifiable point of reference for the Smart Orbit to lock on to. It won't just lock onto the middle of an empty field. ~ I was thoroughly impressed, as are most people that have tried the Dynamic Tracking feature, with just how well Collision Avoidance works. With the 12 digital imaging sensors all around, and 2 sonar sensors on the bottom, there's very little chance you're going to crash this drone. Be careful of wires overhead and guy wires. The drone can't see those. Please note: Collision Avoidance does NOT work in Ludicrous mode. As I'm sure you know, we are surrounded by trees up here in the Pacific Northwest, so finding obstacles to test out the Collision Avoidance was very easy around here. It went around, between, under and over obstacles to track my every move. I have seen some videos however, where the Dynamic Tracking was unable to track someone that moved too quickly thru obstacles. You have to give it a little time to catch up if going thru a complex obstacle course. ~ Let's talk about the batteries. Yeah, plural. Three batteries that last up to 40 minutes each!! You'll get jet lag by the time you use them all. The recharge time appears to be pretty good too (for their size and longevity). I have charged a battery that was depleted to about 5 minutes left. It takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes to fully charge from that point. So I would hazard a guess that you're looking at 2 hours for a FULLY depleted battery to charge. That's a very respectable time! ~ I did spend the extra money for the Lifthor Mjølnir tablet mount for Evo II – Combo from Madison Area Drone Services. They had the best price and great customer service. I had some communication with Co-Owner Preston Rice, and it was easy to see that customers come first with him. I don't know if you will, but I received a 19% break on the Lifthor Mjølnir tablet mount combo and paid $97 for the combo and about $11 bucks for shipping. We have no sales tax in Oregon. I encourage you to buy the mount there if you want to buy free of worry. I have no interest in staring at a tiny phone screen, so a 10" tablet is what I'll be using. When we just spent a couple thousand dollars on a drone, what's an extra hundred bucks for a good tablet mount (lanyard included). :-) ~ I really like the control. The screen layout was very well thought out. I have read and heard quite a few complaints about pushing buttons by accident because of their location. I have not had any issues so far. It should be noted however, that the main complaints came from former DJI users that are switching over to the Autel Robotics Evo 2 Pro 6K. That would make sense since they are used to putting there fingers in a certain spot that's not compatible with the Evo 2 Pro remote. So if you're a former DJI drone user, beware. You're going to have to make some adjustments in how you use your hands. ~ All in all, this is a remarkable drone and I can easily see why it's getting such great reviews, on and off Amazon. I'm happy with my choice to bite the bullet and spend the extra money necessary for a high quality, high performance drone. I can see that the Autel Robotics Evo 2 Pro 6K drone will accommodate my needs for may years to come. And with the high quality, well thought out hard case that stores everything, it will be protected too. ~ UPDATE: I had the opportunity to fly the Autel Evo 2 Pro tonight after 10pm. It was an amazing experience. The navigation lights were spectacular to watch as the Evo 2 Pro departed. But first, the landing lights came on automatically until it reached an altitude of about 20 feet, then they went off for the duration of the flight. When I came back in for a landing, they came on again at about 20 feet AGL. These guys at Autel Robotics really know what they're doing. It's about as professional as it gets. Needless to say, I had the anti-collision strobe light on it as well during this night flight. ~ I live in a small town, so lights in this town at night are at a premium. However, the 6K camera with the 1" CMOS Sensor performed perfectly on the Auto setting. I have include a couple images from that flight for you to guage how well it performed and if you would consider the 1" CMOS Sensor over the others. Notice how, in one of the images, it shows the city lights, but you can also see the stars above the horizon.

Get THIS drone bundle! Great quality aircraft, amazing camera!
If you are looking for a top notch camera drone to produce professional results and a great bundle to match, look no further... I recently passed my FAA Part 107 exam, received my certification, and immediately started researching professional grade camera drones and kept coming back to the Autel Robotics Evo 2 Pro. I purchased this rugged bundle and received it in just three days. The tough case is a must for protecting your valuable new investment and it is perfect for holding all of the necessities for every flight. With a total of three batteries you will have plenty of flight time to complete any daily missions. The extra propellers, launch pad, and micro SD card complete the bundle so you don't have to mess around buying them separately later. This thing flies like a dream! The images and videos it has produced for me are far better than any other drone I've flown over the past several years, hands down. The controller feels good in my hands and it holds my phone at a good angle above the controls, not below like some other brands. You can also fly it without a phone or mobile device if you want or need to because it has its own built-in display. This is a huge bonus if for any reason your mobile device is unavailable or having an issue when you need to fly. For its size this is a quiet flyer and the controls are precise and can be adjusted to your needs by using the intuitive app. There are so many options for adjusting camera settings that I haven't even gotten to try them all out yet. Also, it has many automatic flight modes including Orbit, Hyperlapse, and others. In addition to all of this (and there many things I didn't even list here), it provides 12 obstacle avoidance sensors to help keep you from crashing this beautiful machine into anything! If you are new to drones or already an expert pilot you'll feel confident while flying the Evo 2. There is another major name brand out there (I'm sure you've all heard of it) that is known to prevent you from flying in many areas due to geofencing, but the Evo 2 will have none of that. With this drone, you are in control, BUT make sure you know ALL of the FAA rules and regulations before you take to the skies (if you are in the USA anyway). The only issue I've had so far is in regard to charging the batteries. I have successfully charged them up to 100%, but not without having to start the process over again several times each cycle to get it to actually begin the recharge process. I have yet to explain why that is, but hopefully a new Autel 4-In-1 Charging Hub will remedy the situation. I hope to fly this drone for years to come...both for recreation and hopefully for commercial use such as real estate photography, structure inspections, special events, etc. (Please note: In one of the photos attached you will see the closed storage case with four odd looking squares in the corners, which are just protective shipping plastic that I had not removed yet. Also, I included a portion of a video that was filmed on a windy day from a stationary position approximately 330' high while rotating a full 360 degrees. It was shot in 4K resolution, but down-sampled to 1080p so that I could upload it to Amazon. I am certain that the video you see here will not even come close to accurately displaying the detail compared to viewing it on a 4K TV with the micro SD card attached directly. Now that looks very nice!)
