My kids loved it.
As a parent of two kids under 10, I’m always looking for toys that educate as much as they entertain — and this 14-in-1 Solar Robot Kit has been one of the biggest hits in our house. 👍 What We Loved ✔ Tons of build options There are 14 different robots kids can make, and each one looks unique — walking bots, rolling bots, even one that “surfs.” My 9-year-old was able to follow most of the instructions independently, while my younger one helped with snapping pieces in place. ✔ Actually educational This isn’t one of those “STEM” toys that barely teaches anything. Kids genuinely get hands-on experience with: Solar power Basic engineering Problem-solving Fine motor skills My oldest was fascinated by how the solar panel powered the robot once it hit direct sunlight. ✔ No batteries needed A huge plus! The solar panel works well outdoors or near a bright window. ✔ Good family activity We spent a rainy Saturday building two of the robots together. It’s the kind of toy that becomes a “project,” not just another gadget thrown in a toy box. 👌 Things to Know Some builds are a little more advanced, so younger kids may need help — but that's part of the fun. It works best in strong sunlight, so don’t expect fast movement indoors unless you have a very bright light source. 👨👩👧👦 Final Verdict If you have a kid who loves building, experimenting, or asking “how does this work?”, this kit is absolutely worth it. It’s educational, engaging, and gives kids a sense of accomplishment every time they finish a new robot. Highly recommend for ages 8–12 — and even younger with a little parent help!

Great idea for gift for kids
I bought this kit for my 8 year old nephew, and it's a fantastic stem toy. He started with the simpler beetle and the instructions were clear enough for him to follow with just a bit of help from me. The coolest part, which really highlights the educational value, is the solar power feature. Seeing the robot actually move when we put it in the sunlight was a memorable moment. it keeps him busy for hours and encourages him to solve problems. All the pieces feel solid and durable too. It’s a great way to mix learning with playtime.

Great Gift for Curious Kids and Tinkerers
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this kit, but after building the first robot that actually rolled across the floor using only sunlight, I was impressed. The pieces snapped together securely and the solar panel started working almost instantly near a window. I gave it to my 10-year-old cousin, and seeing her light up when the little robot dog started moving was the highlight. A couple of the smaller clips felt a bit fragile and one of the builds took longer than the instructions suggested, but once it was finished it worked smoothly. Overall, it’s a fun, hands-on way to learn about solar energy and simple engineering, and I’d definitely recommend it for kids or anyone who enjoys building things.

Fun STEM toy
This is a great educational toy for a child ten and up. Children can learn how to assemble many different robot options. Shipping was super fast as well. The products pieces seem to be of good quality as well, however the instruction manual was very confusing for my child and even for my self as an adult making it very hard to put together. Overall if you are a mechanical person and want a good STEM toy for you children this is a great choice.

This incredible set is a hit—bursting with fun, learning, and endless creativity for kids who love to build! assembled effortlessly with straightforward instructions, it makes the experience enjoyable from start to finish. What’s truly inspiring is its use of solar power, giving kids a hands-on lesson in renewable energy as they craft their own robots. The parts fit together seamlessly, and with a variety of robot designs to create, the never ends. It's the perfect blend of innovation and education, sparking curiosity and imagination. Highly recommended for young explorers and family bonding time!

Keeps Children Engaged With Building Fun
I bought this to go along with a science course and it is pretty cool. I absolutely love that kids can build this and create and that it also teaches about solar power. It is such a fun little robot after it is finished and my son loves it so much. It comes with an instruction manual and all the pieces that you need and even the tool that you need to build. It comes with a bunch of different designs in the instruction guide and your child gets to choose which one they want to build. They later can take it apart and build a different design if they would like. Great price, and fast shipping too!

Great Stem toy
My nephew loved it. Its fun to build, easy to follow, and full of learning opportunities. The instructions were clear, and it kept him engaged from start to finish. But its a cheaply built product, it broke after 3 weeks.

A fun and educational STEM kit — but plan for some help and patience
If you’re looking for a gift that is educational, hands-on and offers plenty of variety, this 14-in-1 Solar Robot Kit is a good choice. It’s especially well suited for kids who already enjoy building things, puzzles or science projects. However: if you want something very simple out-of-the-box for a younger child, or if you expect everything to work perfectly in shade/indoors, you might find it a little demanding. Tips for best experience:- Set aside a clear workspace, plenty of time (especially the first build), and some adult help to support the child. Work in bright sunlight (outdoors or strong light) so the solar panel runs properly. Sort and prep all parts (remove sprues, smooth edges) before attempting the first build — that will save frustration. Encourage the child to experiment: once the first model is done, switching to others gets easier and more fun.

Cheap finishing, low quality. You won't be able to assemble the parts correctly (holes that need to connect with other parts, will be blocked, all the parts aren't pre cut which means you'll spend several hours just to try and get disappointed at the end) Highly unrecommended
