Can’t go wrong with grizzly
Real deal grizzly quality for an unbeatable price. Replaced a worn out lathe motor and works better than new.

Good motor.
Works great. Replaced old, open motor on boat hoist. Had to puzzle out hook up of switch for reversing. Don't attempt unless uou understand motors.

What the duck does sheerness or thickness have to go with a 3/4 hp motor?

Customer service is worth the price of the motor - it's that good.
Bought this to replace an old boat lift motor after checking dozens of reviews on comparable motors. The construction on this one, comparably priced to my 20 yr. old original even NOT adjusting for inflation, is MUCH better than the original - tighter fitting solenoid cover, heavier gauge shell, fewer openings for wasps to build mud nests and short the motor, etc. I haven't had a chance to use it for a season, but it so far runs quieter than the original did on its best days. The bonus for me, though, is Grizzly's Customer Service via email. I needed to connect an ancient "Up/Off/Down" switch to the motor but had no wiring diagram for the switch to tell me where to connect the TWO extra wires running from the switch to the motor. Grizzly's Customer Support responded timely and directly, answered ALL my questions specific to my ancient switch, and even gave me some helpful hints such as, "If the lift goes "Up" when the switch is pushed to "Down", change these two wires . . ." Couldn't ask for anything more.

Good motor, damaged in shipping
Foung the fan enclosure was dented while unpacking so I wired it on my bench and it made a racket. Pounded out the dent and straightened the fan. It vibrates a little more than I expect but I need to get my bandsaw up and running for a project. Hopefully Grizzley will replace the bent parts.

Grizzly H5377 3/4 hp motor
Very solid motor, seemingly well balanced, but a little noisy in comparison to older model. Directions excellent regarding electrical hook up and modification.

Works great! I'd get another one but it's more than ...
Got it on sale for a hundred and change to boost up my old furnace along with a bigger pulley. Works great! I'd get another one but it's more than double the price now. It's still a solid motor but the price I got it at is the main reason for the 5 stars .
